If I keep the Pro I’ll have a bit of a faff with the return of the max. I had £700 of vouchers I used towards it which I’d still want to use for the pro. I’ll have to return the max and they’ll put back on the card and back on vouchers. The. Refund the pro and buy it again with vouchers!


Or I could just keep the vouchers 11 more months and use on the iPhone 14

Isn’t the 14” actually thinner than it’s 13” predecessor?

It’s the bigger feet of the new models and the previous tapered design which is deceiving.

The quick play I had in store was great, real solid feel about it, screen was firm and typical apple build. Didn’t use it too much to save it for the unboxing :)

I don’t get the complaints, I prefer the design and I like the slightly G4 PowerBook feel to it.

Has anyone picked up a Max config 16” in store ? In my local store they’ve not had any since launch…

If you do not need extra portability the 16 seems like a lot better value for money.

Maxed out Macs are historically harder to find close to launch, as Apple produces less of them. Particularly custom configs.

Late to the party, but placed my order for a new 16 inch M1 Max. This will replace my current 2016 MacBook Pro. And for good measure

I really like it.

Was so fed up of dongles with previous MacBooks. Also whilst the new one has ports it doesn’t have type A USB nor Ethernet so it’s still useful for me.

I’ve switched my photos library over to an external now too as I wasn’t left with much space on the 1TB internal after it.

I have "borrowed" an M1 mac mini from apple and it needs to be returned by Tuesday so I can't really risk UPS not delivering on Monday and no in store stock being available.

Great to see everyone enjoying their M1 beasts!

@Jinjin sounds like UPS haven’t added Tamworth to their network yet!

Part 1 tracking of my Max via UPS from Shanghai is now over - successfully delivered to my mates house in the concrete jungle where dreams are made of: New York.

Part 2, arguably the more important one, will be tracking his NY flight into London next week to meet up & collect!

It takes me about 1:20 to drive to Tamworth, I could have gone up and down at least 15 times now in the time it’s taken UPS to update anything… 🤦🏽‍♂️
