haha, yes back to the mundane iPhone launches next year! unless those Prosser 14 leaks come true.. its going to be crazy if so!
I'm due an upgrade next year so see you then! Trusty iPhone X will get retired finally.

I guess the benefit of getting a 2-9 Nov window is that now I can use the holiday extended return policy to get a Pro version should more reviews come out in the next 2 months pointing to significant battery discrepancy between it and the Max version I ordered.

I caved and ordered the M1 Pro 14" base model, 16gb / 512gb. It was delivered today and while it's early days... wow, this thing is a beast! It replaces a 2020 Intel MacBook Pro purchased last June (let's just say I was gutted when they released the M1 Macs) - and so far the difference is night and day in terms of performance, battery life, screen, etc. It was hard to justify buying a new Mac so soon, but I simply couldn't ignore the power and efficiency of these new chips. I feel like this is the perfect balance between power, battery life and portability, so I'll be keeping this one for at least 4 years for sure. They really have perfected everything this time - like a whole new generation of computing.
Ah, I wish I'd done this in the past. I was explicitly told once that you can't return online orders in store, so I've always had to have the worry of waiting for the confirmation that they've received the items I've sent back via UPS.Max had been returned
As how long it take for Apple to give me back my £700 of vouchers I used initially!
But going to bother with the palaver of trying to use them for the pro I paid in full for. Will let them burn a hole in my wallet until the new phones next year!

I've got a pro display XDR on order that has been shipped and it seems to be following the exact same pattern as the MBP. The UPS shipping shows an "exception" in the tracking. Its supposed to arrive this Friday but I have little faith in that.
I always thought UPS were a good company but I think thats just from watching American films and UPS just being the delivery company everyone used in them.

UPS, FedEx, DHL they are all rubbish when compared to the top dog DPD!
