Seeing similar with mine - after 5 hours it's still at 92%, and that's with 30 minutes of 4G connection. Definitely making a big difference.

I like to monitor my sleep so need it to last 24 hours between charges, ideally.

Yes, and I forgot that today I had it connected to my car radio via Bluetooth playing music for an hour.

My S5 just arrived today, and the set up was a breeze. Until it came to transferring my EE data plan...

Please call 150 with error 003. Ok.

Agent “Sorry, you’ll need to buy a new plan”
Me: “Can you confirm that costs £5 like my current plan, please”
Agent: “The new plan is £7, the £5 plan is no longer available”
Me: “Please can I speak to your manager?”
Agent: “Sure ... my manager says I can put a £2 rebate on your plan to keep the same price”

Be polite but firm and they fold instantly...

Yes, my new iPhone arrived last week so I had already moved my old watch to my new phone. So this was just:

Unpair old Watch; keep data plan
Pair new Watch; try to apply data plan

Curious to know how much (and how) you guys all use cellular in the watch? I’ve never got around to getting a old for my previous watches and my current routine I can’t see where I would. What am I missing out on?

Speaking personally it’s just for the freedom to leave my phone behind when I need to. That might be walking to the coffee machine whilst my phone is still in my jacket pocket. Or walking down to the post box near our house.

LTE hits the battery hard, so you couldn’t plan on being ‘untethered’ for a serious chunk of time.

The thing is I’m pretty sure I never had to do that when I replaced my Series 3 with my Series 4. 🤔
Really? Can you share what you did?

Gadget.guy transferred with no problems and didn't seem to have to call EE. I don't get this inconsistency

i restored the new watch 5 from a previous backup done the day before from my s3 did you do this or did you set it up as a new watch ?

on a different subject my battery is now 38% after nearly 12 hours so not so good i'm hoping it improves over the weekend but will keep an eye on it.

To be honest I don’t remember as it was so long ago but I don’t think I had to call EE though. 🤔 I’m sure it was just unpair S3 Watch and keep data plan then pair S4 watch and add the data plan. I could be wrong though. 🤔

I have moved from S3 to S4, and S4 to S5 now. When I did the S3 > S4 I had to phone EE and they had to update the IEMI on their side for my new device. I was hoping that the process would be more robust this time and no manual intervention would be needed.

Moving the same watch from phone to phone seems easier and more stable, but still not 100% reliable. When I moved my S4 from X to 11 Pro Max the process failed and needed manual intervention by EE on their end. When I moved my dad’s S3 from 6S to X it was smooth (he get’s my last-gen tech...)

I’ve complained to Which [link] that EE are being really shady about this; i would encourage other people to do the same if they feel this practice is out of order. You don’t need to be a Which subscriber.

Shipment has made it to cologne at 18:00.. still showing delivery for Monday.. wishful thinking they’ll move it tonight for delivery tomorrow!

Mine arrived at Koeln at 18:00 having arrived from Incheon and scheduled for a Monday delivery. Too much to hope that it will be delivered tomorrow

The agent was wrong, though - it doesn't need a new plan. The tech who finally fixed mine deleted the new plan that had been created and just switched watches on my original plan. First time I connected to 4G it updated the plan in My EE from showing S3 to S5.

2 days In and I have to say I really like this watch, I came from a series 2 Nike and ever since I put this thing on I find myself having to lean back a little to see it all ;-) The infograph is just chock full of information! The only thing I really miss is time travel, still, even though I lost it quite some time ago!:(

The meeting complication is from the outlook app which we use at work and the meeting invitation was from an American colleague before you give me a hard time for the lingo! :)

Well I woke up this morning to a text message from Apple telling me there is a problem processing my order and to contact my card provider. I looked in my account where I had more than enough money, checked the details on the order, all correct. Just input all the same details again and order is now processing.

This is the first time I’ve bought straight from Apple, are they known for this does anybody know?

I have ordered loads from Apple over the years and never had an issue. It may be your Bank declining the payment which can be quite often the case

Possibly the bank but it was only £399 which is not a major purchase and certainly lower than a lot of the payments that go through my account. They haven’t blocked iPhone purchases or iPads in the past. Frustrating.

Check with your bank first. There is no reason that Apple would decline the payment. Hope you get it sorted

I’ve just put the order back through by entering the details again. If it stalls again i’ll give them a ring. On a more promising note, if they are taking payment now I’m guessing my delivery date of 9th Oct is being brought forward.
