Ah ok.It means I don’t have to remember to take my phone with me everywhere.
Messages phone calls emails etc come through on the watch.
I take my phone pretty much everywhere so probably no use to me.

I would leave my phone more often if I could link the watch to my car to answer calls. It means I don’t have to remember to take my phone with me everywhere.

I’d love to do that, except I am in a work environment for most of the week and emails on the watch is a bit painfulAh ok.

There’s loads of room for adjustments. 5 loops left for me to tighten and probably 12 or so to make it longer. Really is a great strap.Looks very good, I'm thinking of picking up the same watch instead of waiting for the trail one, even though I wanted the trail one.
I have exactly 160mm wrists so I was wondering if I should go with small or medium. Is it still possible to to adjust the small strap larger or this is the max it can go?
I had the same issue when ordering, medium or large - went medium. However, before I open the box I’ve just been into the Glasgow Apple Store to pick up an orange band, so I tried on an AWU with a medium band - I’ve made the correct choice going medium.I purchased a Medium in the Alpine but thinking I should have went for Large.
Only reason is the metal clasp hitting the watch case when I take off the watch. I need the full open loop to get it off over my hand. I need to remove it slowly / carefully so not to completely hit the clasp off the top of the case.
I can see the case over time getting marked by constant hitting
Anyone else have a little trouble getting the loop off and over their hand?

Out of stock in the larger sizes in my local store unfortunately but they were willing to swap just the band 👍Will they swap just the strap, or do they need to do a full return and swap everything?
I hope they can as I don't fancy having to set up and transfer the data plan again![]()

I’m 160mm, size 6 braided loop, and small is slightly too tight getting it over my hand so going to swap for mediumLooks very good, I'm thinking of picking up the same watch instead of waiting for the trail one, even though I wanted the trail one.

My wrist is anywhere between 170 & 175 depending on temperature, and I seem to be able to get the band over my hand without issue, albeit I have to open it up quite far. Once it’s on, the clip is about halfway around my wrist. Have attached a couple of photos…..What size is your wrist mate?
Do you not feel it’s slightly awkward getting the band off over your hand?
I should hope so as I’m not going swimming next week with the alpine band on 😬Can I use my series 7 Nike strap with the ultra
Same for me but I’d rather it fits without too much extra band wrapping around my wrist. So I can sacrifice so the slightly more arduous task of putting it on. Personal preference 🙂I purchased a Medium in the Alpine but thinking I should have went for Large.

I agree, such a lovely looking watch. After having the Ultra for a day it’s definitely the best Apple Watch I’ve used. Also ordered the Trail Loop as an extra band option.

I’m looking forward to getting the band, but shipping estimate is mid November to early December. Hopefully it will be quicker than the estimate!I agree, such a lovely looking watch.
Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the trail loop band.
And it makes a nice change for a band end piece to sit in the right place for once! Small wrists problems 😆Having thought about it I think you’re right here.
Although the small for me is a little bit of effort getting it on having no overlap is really nice 👌
