i have a feeling mine is also being dropped off at the pick up point by Yodel to, could be a long wait then!
Have a 32gb white reserved in Bradford if anyone wants it.
Ended up going for 64gb as I feel this will last me at least 2 to 3 years (or until I'm sucked in by apple again)
WiFi or cellular?
Doesn't the money automatically get refunded? Are we all going to have to go through this to get our money back?
Picked up a 16GB Cellular from Lakeside this morning. Got there at 7:55 and there was a queue of about 100 people.
They had loads of stock though. I got my iPad and asked about iPhone 5S levels. They said they cant sell them until 10am. But I smiled at the pretty girl who then got the manager. While I was deciding on what case to get for my iPad the manager came over with the phone.
Result.
Lots of stock floating around, even John Lewis (Stratford) had them as they were announcing their stock in store.

refund at Argos
I am right in understanding that if you buy the iPad Air from Argos then you can't
return it for a refund unless it faulty? So for those of us that are undecided
between the air and mini there i guess there is risk if we don't buy from apple?

When u track your order on the yodel website, what does it say ? mine says Delivered (with status bar showing tiny green ticks), but i am not sure about it .... I received the email frm tesco stating that your order is on its way .... howcome it is delivered in just few minutes ?
Just got my 2 emails from Currys
It took an hour between 1 email and the other as I ordered 2 individually.. thought they might of allowed one through. Taken a whole business day for that though.
Got one from Argos anyway.
I called the customer services after receiving cancellation for two iPads. They states it was a technical glitch, which is nonsense, as it had it marked as a web exclusive, with the usual price also quoted. More like a human error.
Anyway, after taking a whole day to email me to tell me this, they them inform me that I have to wait 3-5 working days to be refunded my money, nearly £600. Absolutely disgraceful and a PR disaster for Currys and PC world. I will take my business elsewhere.
I had a fondle of the Air in Apple Meadowhall Sheffield today. It's a very nice machine but it's too big for me. I'm going to stick with my iPad Mini until the iPad Mini Retina is in plentiful supply. I'll probably buy from Apple or John Lewis, maybe even Tesco.
how did you get in contact with them? whenever i phone asda it seems to go through to a south African call centre, and after a minute or so, i get cut off.
my status says delivery scheduled, and estimated delivery date as today.
Pile of rubbish.. they should at least admit the mistakes and have dealt with it earlier in the day.
I would like to send them an email but can't. Can't be bothered to ring them and complain about something that they will not do anything about. Luckily I don't need the money in my bank and can wait a few days.
The ASDA page still says deilivery for today. It's when I click to track delivery that the Yodel page states that my current status is 'waiting' which means they still haven't recieved the parcel.
I gave up on Asda, mine still says that it hasn't been shipped. I rang customer services who said they cant cancel it so I will have to go and get it and then get a refund.

I ordered the same iPad for that price this morning.
I just got an automated email:
Your Pay & Collect order CUR1311223046 is on its way and will be delivered to our Currys store.
Not sure what is going on. I called them this morning. They said it was an error and they would cancel the order. I haven't received further emails or calls about the cancellation.
