Mine just says awaiting collection, the first stage on the tracking thing.. I don't trust yodel at all
 
Just been on the phone with Currys. She said the £251 iPad Air 32GB was on the way to the store for pickup and they couldn't cancel it because it had got to the delivery stage. I was given a Yodel tracking number.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

John Lewis are still price matching on the £30 Tesco voucher code if you ask them. I've just a response back after filling in the form saying I just need to email them once I have received the iPad and am happy with it and they will refund £30 to my card.

If its anything like me, Asda just told me on the phone, that mine has only been sent out today, and will be here by monday at the latest.
They have just refunded me the £4.50 i paid to pick it up today thats all. slightly annoying!

People ALWAYS storm off in high dudgeon and take their business elsewhere. Until the next glitch and then they cannot stop themselves because maybe this time they might, they just might honour this.

You ain't the first and you won't be the last.

Yeah be careful with Yodel, they are terrible for 'losing' or delivering to the wrong address, had grief with them last Jan with items ordered in Jan sales online, one particular order was £100 worth of sale items from boots that partner had ordered that went missing
 
Order been sitting at 'preparing for dispatch' most of the day.

Ah okay, thanks.. Not impressed with asda but I did pick one up from Argos earlier anyway

I thought oh ***** when they said the delivery was from Yodel. One time I waited all day for a delivery from them. Turns out they left my parcel on my doorstep in the late morning without seeing if anyone was in.

I only found out when the Royal Mail postman knocked on my door after 2pm and handed me the letters and the parcel.

Same here. I ordered mine around 7:05AM and mine is also still preparing for dispatch. What's annoying is that the Smart Cover I ordered at the same time is stating delivery between the 7th and 11th when they seem to be readily available in the Apple retail stores. If I had known I wouldn't have ordered the Smart Cover online and just gone to an Apple retail store and picked one up.

Yep ditto here. Same thing in regards case. Delivery Tuesday for my Air. Thought could of been Monday. No rush though.
 
To those who have experience with Tesco Direct in-store pickup:

Is it definite that the orders only become available in store after 4pm sharp? Is there any chance it'd pop up earlier?

In the same situation at you, I ordered a blue Smart Cover for my Air and it says 7th delivery. Probably because it comes by standard postal delivery and the shipping estimates are different for courier shipping. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns up with my iPad anyway. We'll see. Just eager for my iPad to dispatch, although it says 5th delivery so I shouldn't really be worried about it anyway.

I've had things come in earlier before. I think it is dependent on the size of the store too. I tend to get things ordered to the express store down the road and Yodel deliver the orders to them. I think the normal stores get the stuff as part of their normal deliveries.
 
Just back from the Apple store to try out the Air, was impressed. When placed next to the mini it looks a better , more useable size. It made the mini look too small.

I'm currently using a mini though and love it so i'm still undecided what to go for. Was tempted to buy the Air and give it a go then maybe return within the 14 days, was actively encouraged by the Apple staff to do this.

Then I got caught out by the wife, she asked why we needed a new iPad, I wasn't prepared for her line of questioning so stumbled a bit :eek:

Think i'm going to wait for the retina mini as it ticks all the boxes and is cheaper too.

Do people think a smart case or a smart cover and back cover or sleeve is better?
