Still waiting for mine to dispatch from Apple, despite ordering at 7am yesterday when it stated dispatch within 24 hours. The adapter I ordered at the same time dispatched within a few hours though.

I would contact them, nearly happened to be too, ordered at 7am too was dispatched this morning at 3:18am (saw email in the morning) for Tuesday delivery.

Just wondering here guys, but does the 14 day return period apply here in the UK? Only asking as with buying my iPad Air yesterday, I'm kind of seeing how much I end up using it after about a week or so and then deciding whether it's worth it to me to keep it (considering I have an iPhone 5 and a Macbook Pro). So long story short, if I decide that it's not worth it, will Apple give me back the full £399 even though there's absolutely nothing wrong with it? :)

I'm in the same boat. Still no dispatch, well over 24 hours. Still sitting at 'preparing'. Should I be worried?

Just got home with my brand new 32GB iPad Air from Currys for an amazing £251! Thank you and good night.

Yes it does. I've returned a Mini to Apple on the 14th day - no questions asked. I told them it didn't suit my purpose. This is the great thing about Apple, they never kick up a fuss about returns. I believe the return policy for John Lewis is a staggering 90 days (confirmed in store) - again no questions asked. Just be careful to take care of your device in case you do wish to return it within those time frames.

That is exactly what I'm wondering about. I also tried the local Currys but they didn't have any either.

Just tweeted Argos and got a response from them saying they are expecting to get the iPad Air covers and cases in from around mid November and to keep checking the website. Not sure if I'll wait that long!

How come Currys are selling them so cheap? That price is unbelievable for a 32GB iPad Air.

They're not. Originally they posted a special web price in error and were predictably flooded with orders. Once the error became apparent, they cancelled many of the orders before they were processed. Some of the early orders had already gone through the system, though, and couldn't be cancelled.

7 days by law but retailers can be more generous. However, the DSR only refers to unused/unopened items. If you try to return a used item the shop is entirely within its rights to refuse or ask for a restocking fee.

Check the T&Cs of where you are ordering this from.

Ordered yesterday at 7AM, got a despatch email at 2 o'clock this morning sent by SYNCREON PARCEL DELIVERY iPad will arrive on the 5th but the smart cover the 7th

those who got the cheap Currys white 32GB model...

Did all your orders go through immediatelly?

I saw the heads-up on Macrumors and tried ordering with 6 different cards. All gave error messages. I tried using the extra 5% code, and without

Then tried a 16GB for the regular price - and order went through instantly.

Gutted, I missed out on this bargain

Just a heads up for anyone wondering, my local Apple Store in Reading had a whole wall full of every colour Smart Cover and Case. Plenty of stock if you don't want to wait when ordering online.

Does anyone know whether PC World will price match tesco direct with the discount code on the page which brings it down to £369?

Unfortunately you are wrong. There is no right of return if purchased in a shop and a 7 working day return if bought online or over the phone under the Distance Selling Regulations (which doesn't only apply to unused/unopened items in general).

If you buy in person in a shop you are totally reliant on the goodwill of the shop.

Picked mine up at Tesco earlier,

So far so good overall, how is the finish of the back panel for other people? mine seems a bit rough and not as fine as say the space grey on a iPhone 5s

Also there is a minute scratch by the lock button but I'm loathed to return it for that as it isn't discoloured so you need the right light to see it.

UK iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Thread

Picked up my 32Gb Space Grey a couple of hours ago from my local Tesco.

Absolutely love it so far - so much lighter and thinner!

No faults, no marks, just perfect.

Now to get a Smart Cover.......I think I'll have to make a trip to my local Apple Store as nowhere else has them in stock!

Same order as me but my iPad has still not been dispatched. Ordered at 7AM!! Cover has been dispatched though.

Tesco return...

Bought the Air from Tesco Direct and off to collect tonight after work.

But I'm honestly still undecided between the Air and Retina Mini.

So just wondering if anybody has any experience of returning ipads to Tesco Direct - basically if I open it and use it tonight to give it a test run will I then be able to return it within the 14 days if I place it back in it's plastic wrapping?

Term on the website say

We ask that you look after the product whilst it's in your possession and that when you return the product to us, you also let us have all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories.

But doesn't seem to be explicit as to whether you can actually use the product to trial it, so just wondering if anybody had any first hand experience?

Tesco are pretty good at most returns, as long as you have the item fully boxed back up and with the receipt they'll take it back (I returned a camera that way about 6 months ago).

Well at least I'm not the only one whose hasn't been dispatched. I'll wait until tomorrow morning and if there's no movement I'll ring them. What model did you order those who're still waiting? Mine's grey 128GB wifi.
