All iPads UK iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Thread

Check the apple ireserve page for the iPad mini at 6am online for your local store and reserve - I checked mine at 6am and picked up a 32gb cellular at 9am the same day.

But I'm giving it back as I prefer the air.
 
I saw a few 32gb cellulars pop up (and swiftly disappear) on reserve and collect at 0600 in the last couple of days. I never once saw a 64 or 128gb though.
 
Still processing

Mine was ordered at 8.09 and still processing. Interestingly my last few orders of the iPad air and a few other things have not been with UPS but TNT. they are pretty good in my area but DPD give you times. Anyway would be a start if it could move to preparing for dispatch at least!

It's who you know at apple mate. Tim and me go way back. Seriously if you could scroll further down you would see the VAT added in the total making the same as yours plus the additional express delivery #

Now that is a question, how did you get express delivery? I didn't have the option...
 
I was able to add it on the apple website. Not on the apple app that I usually use. I was surprised as you don't normally get that option on new product launches.

Don't think it will make any difference to be honest mate. At least we will have them before Xmas. Wish i had it for my birthday on Monday though!

I can answer that for you :). TNT handles the stock that they have already built up in their warehouses (I know one of them is Hinkley). They will also handle all returns. If you're getting a BTO (iMac, Macbook, Mac mini etc. or an ipad that's currently not in stock then it'll ship from another country (Most likely China) and thus, you'll end up with UPS instead of TNT. :)

That's what I thought but my non BTO iPad Air was delivered by TNT but was already in Hinckley like you said.
 
So how many people got their ipad at the reduced glitch price on the pcworld website in the end?

Had the coverbuddy on my old mini but it broke before getting my rMini. I know the difference in thickness between the two is only 0.3mm, but I think it might be a squeeze and you risk scratching the rMini.
 
Order merging?

Does anyone know where order merging takes place? My order (BTO rMBP, iPad Air 128GB LTE, 2GB Time Capsule) was financed, and for whatever reason, the only delivery option then is to have everything shipped in one go, rather than as each item becomes available. I'm wondering if that merging takes place in Shanghai, and I can then track its worldwide journey, or if it might happen closer to delivery, such as Köln.

The original 13-20 Nov looks highly optimistic at this point, if the bit about "48 business hours" is true.. :(

If you have an apple store your willing to drive to just use the reservation system.

I've managed to pick up 2 4G models and a wifi retina mini since Wednesday.

You do need to check it every two hours from 6am as that us when it's updated and you have a two hour window to collect it but it works brilliantly.
