Actually, I think it's T-Mobile 3G network Virgin use, not EE's 4G network.
I said they use EE's network, originally it was Orange's network, however both Orange and T-Mobile are a part of EE now and have a mast sharing agreement.

Virgin Mobile also offer 4G, so they do use EE's 4G somewhere along the lines, be that originally T-Mobile's network, or originally Orange's, or even a mix of both.

Oh okay, I read the terms of conditions, where does it say about the slow down though? Curious because my mum is going with them too. Tethering not the biggest upset since the only other portable device I have that I would use out of the house is my iPad, my iPhone is going to have a big enough screen anyway.

For customers who joined Virgin Media after 25 June 2012 excessive use over 3.5GB of data per calendar month will result in their maximum bandwidth being restricted to 3G speeds (384kbit/s downstream, 200kbit/s upstream) on our network.

Fair play to you, but does it really matter where in the world it is now? So long as next Friday it's with you that all that counts surely?

I guess I just don't give it a 2nd thought about it's current location. Apple goes through inventory every 5 days or so, so pretty much every item Apple seeks this time next week is either being shipped or about to be shipped.

It matters to some and people have already showed their interest on the flight tracking and asked questions on the subject in this thread within the last hour,it obviously doesn't interest or matter to you so if you don't mind keep you vast knowledge on the subject to yourself as not to spoil the fun for others.

Can I not return the phone within the two week return period?

I'm wrong, Apple have changed their returns policy I notice. You can return with no reason required within 14 days.

----------

I'm with EE and if your on 4G (which is pretty much every built up area with EE) then the data speed is incredible.

Anyone one EE had confirmation?

I phoned up at lunchtime got through to a decent bloke who sorted me out within 15 mins and said it'd be delivered by DPD on Friday within the hour time slot.

Not had any email or texts to confirm, though?

Well my curiosity started off with how do you know? I serious question, I just thought that there was too many variables involved in order to actually pin point which plane is carrying them. I acknowledge that you are more knowledgeable on this subject than me. :)

I went for the £17.99 case. Never spent more than £3 or £4 on one but then again I've never bought a case upon first purchase and always regretted it later when my phone got scratched. Anyway the £18 one just looks absolutely fantastic. I love the blue metal lining and the matted back look. Apparently Amazon Prime does Sunday deliveries now so I should have it then to get a feel for it :)

I also purchased a tempered glass screen protector for £5.99 from eBay. First time using one of those instead of the thin plastic ones.

So after waiting for Three to announce their god awful prices I decided to get an iPhone 6 plus 128gb with o2 but when I went in they said they weren't getting the 128gb 6 plus until October.

I then tried to get it from Carphone Warehouse as they did the same one but they also said they wouldn't be getting it till October.

My last ditch effort had me going to Phones 4 U and ordering the Vodafone 10gb data £53.50 per month with £79 upfront cost for the 128gb iPhone 6 plus and they assured me it would be delivered to the store on launch day but I'm dubious after having heard that both Three and o2 aren't getting this model until October.

Has anyone else ordered from Phones 4 U? what do you guys think will I be getting a phone call saying that it wont be delivered on launch?

I ordered mine from Phones4U, I spoke to a guy on live chat and he absolutely assured me it would definitely be delivered on release day and that they had plenty left, mine was for the 64Gb 6 Plus though but all sizes and colours were showing as in stock for release delivery after Three rang me back to say my ordered was delayed until October so I cancelled it.

i was given the same information

Just went back and checked my previous posts. Last iPhone I preordered was the iPhone 5 and this was delivered to me on launch day by UPS at 15:31. Going to be agonising next Friday but at least I should be able to read up on here about everyone's progress!

hey, sorry if its been asked before. i deliberately didn't pre order this morning because i wanted to que on the 19th and get a 6+ 128GB. is the preorder stock separate to the stock people que for on launch day? I'm going to que at least 15 hours before store opening, so id be quite disappointed if they had zero units in! :(

Ya I remember when ordering the iPhone 5 and delivery day, A lot of people were saying they got theirs and some still not until later, was fun day indeed but also agonizing

What you will want to do is do a back up on your 5. I would advise turning iCloud and iMessage off, take your sim card out then wipe your 5. Do not re-insert your sim card in to your 5. Unplug your 5 which should now have no data on it. Put your sim card into your 6 (assuming you will be using the same sim card), then sync your 6 to your computer and restore from back up, this will transfer everything over, including your contacts and messages. Then turn iCloud and iMessages back on.

Job is done. Your 6 should have everything set up like your 5 was (effectively like you never changed phones) and your 5 should have nothing left on it and nothing attached to it and ready to send away to be recycled.

Thanks just done the iCloud/iphone5 backup which i presume is stored 'in the cloud' not the iphone5 how do I sync to the 6 i want to use my existing sim
is the sync/restore from backup the same option

iPhone 6 running great today....now can I remove and wipe ALL data including iCloud from iPhone 5/old sim (whilst continuing using the same iCloud acc on new iphone6/new sim....or do I have to switch off iCloud on mac and iPhone 6 1st????

A group of us followed them on here last year to good effect ,every time your order is moved from place to place it gets scanned and updated via order status, you can then determine from the scanned airport location using fliht data for that airport what flight it will be on and destination ,you then get the data for the next stage of the journey when its scanned again and so on.If you're interested you will see it developing over the next week.It has already been widely publicised that Apple have been buying up and monopolising lots of UPS flights for the next few months.

My sim only deal is £12.90 a month for 200 mins 3000 texts and all you can eat data.....over 2 years thats £309.60.....add £699 for phone makes it £1008.60........I bet you cant find any carrier tarrif that will come near that......3 for example (same carrier as mine) were doing £57 a month £50 for the phone.......ie £1418 total......ridiculous.

And that is why you can't generalise ;) 200 minutes wouldn't last me a day...and the network provider doesn't provide connectivity. So to me that may work for you, doesn't mean it works for others. Unfortunately Vodafone is the only one with network signal through a sure signal box where I life.
