Either way from my experience and from those I know EE's network leaves a lot to be desired for, especially where I live. It's quite shocking considering my house literally backs on some of it's major UK bases.

It may be bad where you live but that doesn't mean its bad everywhere. I'm on EE's 4G service and I get great coverage most of the places I go to here. You make it seem like their network is poor everywhere with your earlier posts when that is simply not the case. All networks have variable coverage not just EE. I was with O2 before and they weren't good where I am but others get good coverage with them I'm other areas.

Ordered the same as you and had my confirmation email at 8.43 am and I got 7-10 days to dispatch. Gutted as I swear it was showing 19th before I got to the checkout.

I must have got lucky then. it really seems to be pot luck with the orders today

Mine too. Maybe we get it saturday am (unlikely)? or monday?

I ordered mine at 835am.

haha I wish!! Last year I remember someones iPhone 5S got shipped early and then on the UPS tracking it stated "UPS Intercept" basically Apple Recalled the package!

Friday it is!! So excited!

Managed to get through to the apple store online this morning at 8.40am, the app wasn't working, and ordered the 6+ gold 128gb and my order status shows delivery 3 to 4 weeks...not impressed really

EE

Hmm, with no confirmation from EE I think ill phone in the morning and ask. The guy was actually pretty cool and had a laugh and he said what he was doing as he was doing it etc..

However a text or email to confirm would be nice.

Due an "upgrade" on my o2 contract so just looked at this but either their website is wrong or they're really taking the ****.

A 64GB iPhone 6 is £729 in their plan breakdowns (including the one where you pay the full device cost and then the contract is just for the airtime).

It's only £619 from Apple direct...

Have I missed something?

Probably not. I seem to remember that last year the 5s full cost was about £40 more than buying direct from the Apple store

Ordered mine this morning from vodafone, The 6 plus 64gb in space grey.i called early enough So hopefully I will get mine next week. But you can never tell with Vodafone they can be a bit crappy at times.

They are a business. They are making what is known as 'profit' ;)

But isn't the contract plan when you pay the full device cost then basically just the Simplicity prices? That'd save £110 on the same plan and not be tied to a 24 month contract.

Its a shame really. £20-£35 for 12months used to be bog standard for Pay Monthly

Now the networks are becoming american-like in their extortion practices. Charging more and more for less and less. £50-£80 for 24 months and you don't get unlimited data most of the time but rather unlimited voice and text which no one uses anymore.

Easily see them charging £90-£100 within 3-5 years.

More and more i'm glad i dumped jail-like contracts a few years back.

Let me do the math, since I have the 20% off

Who: Vodafone UK
When: 12months
Device: iPhone 6 16GB
What: 7GB+Unlimited text and minutes+12 months of spotify
One Off payment: £199
Monthly payment: £46,8
Total x 12 months: £760,6 (- £539 cost of the phone) = £221,6 - (9x12 spotify £9,99) = £8,47 x month

What do you think? :)

Question: As far as I understood, the number portability in UK (I have the PAC) needs to be done AFTER I received the phone and the sim?

12 month plans are excluded from the discount :-(

Gutted that I've missed launch day! I was all set before 8am and then refreshing the app like mad. Tried the store via safari a couple of times but nothing. Then the app seed to come back but wouldn't let me buy it after selecting config. Then got on via safari on my phone, but haven't used it before and didn't realise I couldn't see the select button floating at the bottom because I was zoomed in for a few mins(that's what cost me). Still when selected it was the 19th, then 7-10 days in the basket and 3-4 weeks by checkout. It wouldn't be so bad if the website was now saying something over 4 weeks, but it's still 3-4! I could have not put any effort in and rocked up nearly 16 hrs later and still be in the same window. Ok hopefully I'm reasonably well to the front of that window, but it's annoying. Humph!

My confirmation email came through at 8:47am (128 SG +) by the way, so missed out by 10 mins or so by the sounds of others.

Then tried the reserve in store but that was all out.

Last year I lucked out without much queuing on the day, but I don't hold out much hope this year. Ah well, at least it gives me a chance to try them both in store first.

Well done to all those who got theirs lined up for the 19th

Managed to reserve a 64GB Space Grey 6 for pick up from Apple on Friday.

Like many, I wasted a day waiting for Three to reveal their atrocious tariffs.

TBH, I was toying with buying outright. Three just decided for me. They're likely to keep my business though, on sim only. 200 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £15 is perfect for me.

Just a shame they had to get greedy.

Also, I didn't have to make the one time payment, he added it to the bill.
Bit concerned now (EE)

hi evan,

am in the same position as you, ordered via phone around 5.30pm, all seemed to be quite efficient, seemed to be fine for friday, confirmation via text promised but nothing's come through yet. am hoping it's reassuring that neither of us have had that...

cheers!

Just hoping it's because of the overload. He did say I was in line to get it on the Friday.
There's also a small discussion on the EE community page here.

Still not had a confirmation for my O2 order for a 6 Plus. I asked on live chat earlier and they confirmed the order went through and i would get it on launch day. However on the O2 Forums people who ordered in store earlier are now getting told O2 won't have the 6 Plus until 7th Oct.

I'm hoping its different for O2 Online as I believe Carphone Warehouse handle all the orders on behalf of O2 and they seemed to have 6 Plus stock earlier.
