You just literally paid 600£ for a phone, where you are not even aware of it's capabilities.

Yes you have to and also deactivate iCloud & Find my iPhone.

As long as you use iCloud, yes it will be transferred automatically.

You can also make a backup to iCloud and restore it straight back to the new iPhone with Wi-Fi.

To get keychain transferred along with your credit info, you'll be prompted for a password you gave and/or a text message confirmation.

its total 720 24 months..no 4G yet in my area fromO2....prob years before nfc is used in u.k. (if at all), the activate de activate iCloud and find my phone..is that via the 5 and once I put the sim in the 6 how do I then 'wipe' the 5 (If I need to)

Anyone one EE had confirmation?

I phoned up at lunchtime got through to a decent bloke who sorted me out within 15 mins and said it'd be delivered by DPD on Friday within the hour time slot.

Not had any email or texts to confirm, though?

I got through at 10:25 ish, the guy sent me a text while I was on the phone but I haven't had an email confirmation yet.

The text wasn't like a normal text you get from EE, it looked like he copy and pasted what was on his screen

Hi. Just nor seeing anything from people on EE and wondering what if any plans people are being offered. Only seems to be one option per type of phone.

I upgraded this morning to iPhone 6 plus 64gb - £99 upfront £48.99/24 month unlimited minutes and texts and 20gb data. They even offset the £99 and put it on my first bill so i payed nothing today.

Email confirmation will be sent within 24 hours, delivery on the 19th by DPD

Worries me when the guy I'm speaking to from EE says 'Hold on, I just need to get a scrap of paper'!!!!!

A group of us followed them on here last year to good effect ,every time your order is moved from place to place it gets scanned and updated via order status, you can then determine from the scanned airport location using fliht data for that airport what flight it will be on and destination ,you then get the data for the next stage of the journey when its scanned again and so on.If you're interested you will see it developing over the next week.It has already been widely publicised that Apple have been buying up and monopolising lots of UPS flights for the next few months.
Thanks.
My order is pre-order in store pick up with 02 so the chances of pin pointing my iPhone is unlikely, at least not until I get my iPhone.

Visa have said this week that they are working on bringing Apple pay to Europe and the UK.

I said they use EE's network, originally it was Orange's network, however both Orange and T-Mobile are a part of EE now and have a mast sharing agreement.

Virgin Mobile also offer 4G, so they do use EE's 4G somewhere along the lines, be that originally T-Mobile's network, or originally Orange's, or even a mix of both.

Virgin Mobile don't offer 4G to consumers.

There's a business package, but that's offered by a different part of the business.

So whilst they may use "EE's" network, it will simply be the old 3G T-Mobile part of it, not 4G.

I just bought this to go with my Plus, it's so cute. (From HK, but not a problem)
I bought a simple screen protector too, I tried buying an expensive one for my iPad Air back when I got it which served me no good (Rhino Shield if anyone's curious).

Was the Plus ever actually available in the UK for delivery on launch day?? As far as I could see, orders went to straight to delivery in 3-4 weeks as soon as the store came on line this morning and it was actually possible to log on. By contrast supplies in the US seem to have held out for several hours.....can't help but wonder if we limeys were allocated any Plus models at all...

I've a plus 64GB for delivery on 19th. Ordered it at about 08:35' email confirmation at 08:36. Preparing for dispatch now.

Either way from my experience and from those I know EE's network leaves a lot to be desired for, especially where I live. It's quite shocking considering my house literally backs on some of it's major UK bases.

Oh not just a pittance then. Probably could have got a fair bit more depending on condition though.

Perhaps, but O2 recycle is so easy! Put name and address in website. They send you a box. You send them phone only. 18 hours later £265 in your bank. No fees, no whiney eBay customers, and you get to keep all your cables, charger, headphones, box etc, all of which you can sell on eBay if you want to.

I ordered about 10:30 on the phone, bloke told me could be 30 days, but as I'd got through in the first couple of hours it was likely to be Friday, but wouldn't guarantee it. No text or email though, just a text survey about the quality of the call

And that is why you can't generalise ;) 200 minutes wouldn't last me a day...and the network provider doesn't provide connectivity. So to me that may work for you, doesn't mean it works for others. Unfortunately Vodafone is the only one with network signal through a sure signal box where I life.

But how do the carriers justify their massive price increase?? My mrs is on currently iphone 5 with a £37 a month tariff which is 600 mins and all u can eat texts and data.....but the same tariff with the iPhone 6+ is suddenly £57 a month??? Both phones are priced the same at the time they were released.....that's what I don't understand......both were £699 on day 1. So why £20 a month increase??

128 GB 4.7" model order at 9:30pm and got:

Dispatched: 7- 10 business days

So I guess that's the second wave after 19 Sep.

Matt

Just talked to O2 online and they said my order is waiting to be dispatched. Must mean its been processed as the money has been taken out of my account.

Heres hoping I get it on the 19th!

For those that are interested and have ordered direct with Apple heres the live flight info link for Hong Kong airport ,as my order starts to move i will update the routes being taken so you can follow yours.

On occasions where I've had launch day gadgets and they weren't already in the UK I could track from PVG. It will be interesting to see where they start off this time. I'm guessing that a few pallets full must be at Syncreon Hinckley already.

Ordered 6+ 64gb in space grey at 08:40am sitting on preparing for dispatch. Delivery 19/9

Ordered the same as you and had my confirmation email at 8.43 am and I got 7-10 days to dispatch. Gutted as I swear it was showing 19th before I got to the checkout.

I so can not make up my mind. I have pre ordered a 6 plus in an EE shop but reserved a 6 in the Apple Shop in Braehaed.

6plus would be with a contract, the 6 outright and I would need to move to a sim only deal. What's the highest data sim only with EE?

The contract is 50 quid with 20gb data. So far ee want 199 up front, but apparently that's not set in stone.

Money wise i should get the 6 outright, but somehow i fancy the 6 plus....

Guess I am lucky i have the option on the 19th...

Fair enough, everyone's experience is subjective, but haven't RootMetrics just awarded EE the Best Mobile Provider award?

Also, when I say EE, I mean 4G, as EE don't have a 2/3G network.

Last year they started off at Shenzen which is the Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS,then on to Hong Kong. Some then flew direct to Cologne others to Cologne via Dubai, then from Cologne direct to East Midlands Airport and then to Syncreon Hinkley for distribution.

Taken from elsewhere.
"Syncreon Parcel Delivery is not a carrier but a distribution holding company and the delivery is actually being carried out by UK Mail or UPS locally."
