EDIT: Can I also add. When you do finally get through do try and be sympathetic. Try not to give them a hard time about how you have lost your chance to get a release day ip6 because, they honestly couldnt care less given that they now have to find a job a few months before christmas.[/QUOTE]

I agree,I once lost my job just before Christmas. Not very nice.

Just spoke with Apple and asked them as to when will the status of my order change from 'Preparing for Dispatch' to 'Dispatched or shipped'. They got no clue and it will probably change after it is shipped or dispatched which means Wed or Thur.
Why would you think that someone in a call centre would know when your individual phone will ship? The folk on this thread probably understand Apples logistical operation better than their call centre and store staff.

Can anyone let me know if my family member can sign for me and take the phone? I am in no hurry and can use the phone when I am back in the evening from office.
A courier's only obligation is to get your gadget through the front door on the address label and get someone inside that door to sign for it.

Hello! Don't very often post on here, but read it a lot! I pre-ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey with CPW on Friday, keeping my fingers crossed for delivery on Friday :) I phoned and they said it would be Friday, but all seems a little to good to be true!! lol

I've had an iPhone 3, 4 and 5, and have always had no cover, but for this one I think I'd like to start out with a cover to make sure it does't get damaged, and decide whether to keep it later on.

I've seen people posting on here about the best covers they're buying etc, but tbh I don't have time to cruise through 150 pages to find them all!

Could any kind person perhaps suggest any of the best ones etc so I can have a look? Bit cheeky, but thanks to anyone that helps.

CPW are now showing expected delivery for all silver plus models as Friday, which is a change from this morning. Maybe they now know exactly how much stock they're getting, or perhaps they've acquired Phones 4u's stock.

Anyone ordered Saturday? Not worried about getting it Friday and have a 2-3 weeks deli every schedule but not had the money taken (ring fenced) yet, is that normal?

I ordered mine on Friday at 08:29, I got a confirmation straight away for Friday 19th delivery and my order is sitting a preparing for dispatch on the Apple site. They haven't taken the money from my account or put a hold on it (as far as I can see from Digital Banking with RBS). I wouldn't worry about them not having took the money yet. They will take it when it dispatches.

Plus they say I have to be home myself for delivery, my family members can't sign on my behalf plus they are not sure on shipping company also whether it will be UPS or or Royal mail for me in London.

It has always been TNT for my Apple deliveries. I'm in the north though.

I got it Mr. Steveza, take it easy bro. I thought the apple cust. care will be able to help me with my order since I ordered an apple phone and each order number is unique and they will be able to tell me just about my order.

Rest I am ok with they deliver or if I get it a day or 2 late.

Thanks for the reply though.....:)

Any way to reserve for store pick up in the UK?

Got a Plus being delivered to the house but may go pick up a 6 also to see which one I prefer.

You are the reason most people wait. Buy 2 and only need 1 so you sell the other at a profit.

Hope launch day stock goes through the roof and your left with a loss for being such a ****.

I shouldn't reply to such a offensive comment. However, as my post was misunderstood (mostly my fault ) I'll still take the time to reply despite you being rude. If what I wanted is to make profit, I would have just put it on eBay and sell it for lot more and not post on this forum.
I've edited my post now, so hopefully no one else will feel annoyed.
Don't worry, I won't make any loss as I will just cancel one of them and give someone like you the chance to get it earlier. (Seeing you're reply, I guess you didn't get one...)

Well after thinking I was getting my 6+ 64GB Gold Friday morning from a Phones4U shop as an EE early upgrade, I have now pre-ordered from Apple sim free. Saves me a lot more money in the long run with the freedom to upgrade again next year without a penalty. Just have to wait the 3-4 weeks for it to arrive and read about the excitement you Friday delivery guys will write! lol

After the different replies on here, I think I'll just cancel one. Sorry if it was seen disrespectful to write that post (been edited now!) Thanks

I edited my post, and explain why I was asking for a bit more than normal price. And how people just assume I wanted to sell it for much more. Sorry if this offended you or anyone. I probably wasn't clear and got some people annoyed.

Cancelling/returning one unopened is the right thing to do. You get all your money back and hopefully it will help someone else get their iPhone earlier!

@laminarpanda.. take it easy man. If you did not mean what you wrote, dont explain it to everyone. let everyone write what they want to.

You wrote by mistake or your intention was different and you edited your post, thats sufficient. Just do what you have to do with your orders.

Have a good one man... take it easy..njoy....

Ordered on the 12th and Apple took the money from my account thus morning. So I assume that my 64GB Space Grey 6 will be on its way to me any minute now, even though it still says "preparing for dispatch"

The fact that P4U are not picking up is deeply worrying.

Do I pre-order from CPW or wait?

I don't want two contracts to pay off!
P4U have already said that iPhone 6 pre-orders will be cancelled and any money taken will be returned to the customer automatically. You don't need to do anything with P4U. Go ahead and pre-order with someone else.

So, I've gone and ordered my new iPhone 6 Plus on CPW for a 19th Sept delivery.

Hoping P4U don't deliver now.

What a stressful morning! Someone hold my hand! :(

I'll be interested to see if CPW actually deliver Friday on this. They are notorious for taking orders and then emailing a few hours later with 'oh sorry, apple aren't supplying us with enough stock so your phone will arrive in 2 to 3 weeks!'

Even more interest that you're able to order a 6 plus as they appeared to be non existent more or less!

Good luck!!

The transaction shows as a debit from your account towards Apple but the money hasn't reached the merchant and will only be given to them once your order ships. I spoke to Apple today morning on this, you cant utilize the money its been blocked for Apple but they will actually receive it when you get your order or when it ships.

You wont get the phone before 19 by any chance.

Good Luck...

Not sure how but there is a message on the CPW website about Phones4U. Soo maybe they might take over the pre-orders?

More lime, CPW will just add you to their waiting list.

You are 2 or 3 days too late, there was stock to reserve Friday and Saturday, and a little on Sunday. It's all gone in every UK Apple Store as of this morning.

I was looking at a different thread and some people mentioned an app called delivery status touch it's £2.99 in the app store for iPhone and iPad (FWI i have no affiliation with the developers that made it). Basically it can track Apple store purchases and guessing it can track them after items have been dispatched. Just thought it might be handy for a few people. I don't personally have it cause I would only get used once. But they also have a free widget for mac, which i have downloaded.

Has anyone gone with Three's iPhone 6 plan?

£50/m for unlimited everything on the 64GB iPhone 6. It's not exactly a bargain, what is expected from Three, but it still seems cheaper than other networks.

EE do 20GB for £48.99/m and £180 up front.

Posted in another thread but seeing as this is more active.

Anyone in the Birmingham area (or wider) with EE and confirm whether they're any good - 4G/3G)?

I'm leaving Vodafone because their iPhone contracts are shockingly bad.

Sorry, it wasn't my intention at all, on the contrary. If all I wanted was to make money I would put it on eBay and that's it. I thought it would give some people here a chance to maybe direct me to a place where they could get it from me. But if that's how it's perceived, I'll just get rid of my post.

Unfortunately, I believe that was your intention. Maybe hoping one of us would jump at the chance of snapping it up and you could make a nice little profit?

Now, after seeing the ( quite understandable ) reaction, you have decided to back track.

I tried not to get personal or emotional with my advice, but as you can see others have.

Surely it would have occurred to you that people wouldn't have been to happy with another trying to extort money from a product they want.

Maybe we have actually done you a favour anyway, because as I said earlier. You would probably have opened yourself up to being ripped off by selling an extremely popular expensive item.

Take this as a lesson learned.
