Has anyone gone with Three's iPhone 6 plan?

£50/m for unlimited everything on the 64GB iPhone 6. It's not exactly a bargain, what is expected from Three, but it still seems cheaper than other networks.

EE do 20GB for £48.99/m and £180 up front.

EE has 2 decent deals imho:

10GB - 33.99 and 359 upfront which is a total of 1174.

20gb would be 38.99 and 309 upfront, totals at 1244.

Your deal is £1200 spot on. I give you unlimited data though.

Posted in another thread but seeing as this is more active.

Anyone in the Birmingham area (or wider) with EE and confirm whether they're any good - 4G/3G)?

I'm leaving Vodafone because their iPhone contracts are shockingly bad.

I'm a few miles out (Blackheath) and get great 4G reception and speed on my 5S, never had any issues with EE.

Adam.

Thanks for the picture.

Appreciate it's not the most precise measurement but how obvious is the difference in thickness?

What do you think of the case? I've gone for Apple's leather case for now but still looking at other options.

It's hard to gauge thickness comparing case to phone, and especially since my fingers have to stretch further to hold the case anyway. The case itself looks to be a mil or so thicker than the iPhone 5. Either way, I've been using a Spigen Slim Armor for my 5 (which isn't that thin, so this case is going to feel much slimmer.

I really like the look and feel of it overall. Especially the lovely matted back. It's made from two types of plastic by the way, the metal look is just an effect.

I think this is the case i have ordered. Do you have any more pictures? Thanks :)

Some more pictures for you.

Ordered mine (iPhone 6 128GB) on Friday and I got the confirmation that I would get it by 19-09. Nevertheless, I find it a bit weird that it hasn't been dispatched yet. What are your order details at the moment?

Can't wait for Friday ! :)

How did you get £50/month with Three? Was there an up front cost?

Mine was £0 upfront & £53/mo

Unfortunately, I believe that was your intention. Maybe hoping one of us would jump at the chance of snapping it up and you could make a nice little profit?

Now, after seeing the ( quite understandable ) reaction, you have decided to back track.

I tried not to get personal or emotional with my advice, but as you can see others have.

Surely it would have occurred to you that people wouldn't have been to happy with another trying to extort money from a product they want.

Maybe we have actually done you a favour anyway, because as I said earlier. You would probably have opened yourself up to being ripped off by selling an extremely popular expensive item.

Take this as a lesson learned.

Ya I think they learned their lesson a while ago now, so I'd suggest we all move on from this and go back to our normal discussion.

Mine still says Preparing for Despatch and a Delivery for 19/09.
In my experience there's always a delay to the status and when things start moving it happens really quickly!
Still looking forward to Friday!

I posted this in the Carphone Warehouse thread, but thought it might get more responses here:

I don't want to spark any panic, but I just rang CPW twice, both times the quality of the calls dropped to the point where we were cut off. During the first call, the woman I spoke to told me that they wouldn't have any 6 Plus stock in 64GB till October 13th. A different woman told me during my second phonecall that they should have enough stock for a Sept 19th delivery. Very confused and annoyed, and don't have the patience to call back again only for the phone line to be disconnected. Has anyone else spoken to them about this?
(Ordered by 8:45am on Friday. Received an email immediately, then a confirmation of the credit check around 9pm)

Again, sorry to anybody that felt annoyed by my post.

so I had ordered from Apple directly and was waiting for 7-10 delay that's been talked about.

Went and crunched the numbers yesterday. Looked at EE, Three, and O2 and what I would pay over 24 months with a sim-only contract and my iPhone I was going to buy sim-free straight from Apple. I was pretty surprised that a few of the sim-free deals with the carrier were nearly identical to the contract versions and I be paying quite a bit less upfront.

Went with EE's 4GB Data and unlimited text and minutes for £34/mo and £330 upfront. Saves me about £100 over the course of the contract compared to if I did the sim-only, and was cheaper than doing around 4-5GB with either Three or O2 sim only also. I also get the phone this Friday as EE appears to have stock of all of the iPhone models. They also upgraded me to 10GB data as I have home broadband with them (only applies for new broadband customers, but after talkign to the sales team they made an exception for me).

Yeah yeah, I'm under contract, and EE isn't liked by many (but neither is Three and O2), but I was going to go with the cheapest one at the end of the day, and the network is still considered the most robust and fastest 4G, so hopefully it all works out. And now I have a phone friday and saved money!

According to their website, silver plus models in each capacity will be delivered on the 19th. Apart from that, only the 16GB black plus will be delivered for the 19th. When is I checked this morning, the only silver that was scheduled for Friday was the 16GB.

Pre-ordered my iPhone 6 64GB Black at about 8:30 last Friday.
Currently says 'Preparing for dispatch' with a delivery date of 19th.
The delivery address is to my work so I hope they come in time...

Looking forward to Friday!
and back luck to anyone who pre-ordered with P4U - just bad timing really...

Sir, I offer you 2 shillings for your voodoo box and not a farthing more.

Isn't that because the other models have sold out? When I ordered last Friday in the morning, the Grey Plus model in all capacities was available for delivery on the 19th, and now they're not because they are out of stock?

I've just ordered mine as an upgrade with vodafone. iPhone 6+ 128GB in White/Silver confirmed for Friday delivery.

Unfortunately yes, people have been able to order two phones. Which I think is a joke.

Apple should have restricted the sale of one phone per apple I.D for the first batch of phones. It would have been a lot more fair for the rest of us.

Instead, we have people who have ordered two phones because they can't make a decision based on size and will send the other back.

So the rest of us have to wait and could get a phone that's all ready been opened.

Complete joke.

Yes, I am just bitter and upset. But you have to admit, it doesn't help the situation.

I'm hoping my delivery est gets bumped up as I was in early at 9.00am but honestly, I can't see it happening.

It's amazing what Apple can drive us to!

Take a chill pill mate. I've ordered three. One for me, one for my wife, and one for my brother who is in NL and would have to wait months otherwise. They could have ordered their phones themselves with a bit of hassle, but far easier for me to do it for them.

Difference is those phones will be used and not sold on, so in that sense I dont mind, I dont begrudge people their iPhones. I dont like the whole I am buying two and then returning one because I want to get the feel of it because that does bump people down the queue.

Good to see CPW have learned so much from all the iPhone pre-releases they've managed to cock up since the launch of the original 3G - sounds like nothing's changed at all.

All Three plans have a £99 upfront cost... look on their website.

I went into a store and they also have upgrade pricing which was zero up front but an extra fiver a month so £55 for the 64GB 4.7 on the all in plan.

Needless to say, I walked out and decided to buy sim free and stick with my £12.90 plan.

Happy?

Gold phone delaying delivery of SG one

I ordered a gold and a space grey 128GB 6 Plus minutes after the store went live on Friday morning. I put them in my basket with them both showing estimated delivery 19th. By the time I got to the credit card payment page one was showing as delivering most places on Friday 19th, the other was showing 7-10 days. Payment authorised and I get a confirmation email giving delivery information as "Dispatched 7 - 10 business days 30 Sept to 03 Oct 2014". I wasn't very happy about that when I read the email, because even after getting the email the store was quoting 19/09 delivery on the SG one I think. Why delay one of the phones by two weeks after launch day just because the other one has sold out? Anyone else had a similar experience, is it worth me querying with Apple?

All,
I spent an hour on the phone to Vodafone on Friday morning (call started at 8:10am) to get them to set me up as a new customer and order the iPhone 6Silver, £79 upront, 64GB, Unlimited Texts/Calls, 7GB Data - £42.80 a month (I work for one of their partner companies so get a 20% discount off monthly bill). The guy on the phone said delivery to my local Vodafone store would be up to 6 weeks!

I still have not received any email confirmation from them, so I called on Saturday, to which the guy stated he could see a new account setup for me. However I have still not been billed or even the funds being frozen from my account. The guy on Saturday said email confirmations would be sent out Monday/Tuesday. And said delivery should still be on Friday 19th as I was one of the first in there.

Is anyone else in the same situation as me here?

I am! I arranged my contract with Vodafone as a new customer on Friday morning (6 Plus 64gb for £99 then £46.80 with 10GB data), luckily I do have email confirmation of the order but no money has been taken from my account and i have had no further email or possible delivery date. Has anyone else with Vodafone had any more info that that....?
