I ordered 13th September morning and have 7-10 day dispatch on the 6 Space Grey 128 GB. Any one else do this and had their order status change today? Still on processing :(

Yes! I received it at 16:01 this afternoon. I hope it's just a general text that they've sent out to everyone. Keyword being "within", I'm still holding hopes for a Friday delivery

Yep, I saw within and hoped the same, just waiting for the dpd text tomorrow

Anyone else get this whose gone with EE? #

Yeh I got the same - called them up and they said it was just to cover themselves against any delays, but he didnt know when phones would go out irregardless of when someone might have preordered etc. He checked my account, could see I was one of the first to preorder, but had no other information for me.

Seems like all other UK networks are starting to sort themselves out a bit with meaningful notifications to people, but EE are still a bit of a shambles.

I guess we just wait and see

I got in at 8:45 on a 6+ 128 grey so we can hope

Yeah its not the cheapest in the world but £79 for 2 years coverage isn't too bad I guess. I had the Barclay's insurance but its so much hassle, you have to register your phone with them, then wait 21 days before you can claim, plus the £100 excess when you have an iPhone and £7.50 per month, but it does cover other gadgets and loss/theft also. So the £55 excess per claim isn't too bad especially since you can get it swapped on the spot in an Apple store.

Might look into the Natwest one since you get more benefits.

FWIW, you might want to look at My Essentials from Amex. £12.99 a month. Covers all your gadgets (not just phones) and personal possessions with a value of up £1,500 from loss, theft or accidental damage. No excess. Worldwide cover.

You need to register those items worth more than £250 by calling them and providing IMEI etc.

Today EE have released new sim-only plans and as i was an existing customer (albeit of less than a week) i rang up to see what deal i could get in light of these new packages.

Came away with 10GB of data, unlimited minutes, texts and 0800 numbers in addition to European roaming for £21.99 a month :)

Does that include the ability to tether?

Looks pretty interesting, i might actually switch upto that.

Whats claim times like? if i lost my phone or needed to make a claim etc?

Excess?

This is probably a really long shot but I'll explain it and see if anyone else is in the same boat.

I ordered an iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey from ChitterChatter on Friday the 12th at about 9.01 (Their lines opened at 9AM). ChitterChatter are (I think, check them out yourselves) very similar to Carphone Warehouse. They sell multiple phones but to two carriers only. EE and T-Mobile. I am with EE and was due an upgrade from my SIM only plan. I tried ringing EE but they were just so busy. So I went to ChitterChatter. Saw the iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey on a £38.99 a month plan with £79 upfront, unlimited calls and texts, 4GB 4G data, inclusive roaming, double speed, the "Extra" plan, perfect, rang them and ordered it. They never confirmed a delivery date and I have rang them a couple times to see if anything has changed, but they said nothings confirmed yet. I see people getting confirmation from CPW and starting to slighty worry! Although not too worried as EE themselves are claiming 7 days delivery!

So what I want to know is;
1) Am I right in saying ChitterChatter is similar to CPW? (Website is chitterchatter.co.uk)
2) Has anyone else ordered from CC or have ordered maybe a 5s or 5c or anything from them before?
3) If so have you heard anything from them?(iP6)/What did you get from them relating to stock/delivery? (iP5/c/s or before)

I know we really have still got another day before anything can be set in concrete, but some have got their confirmation and even now I see someone on here order one yesterday from Voda and got delivery confirmation today!!!

Not sure if this is of any use to any one but i took out a new EE sim-only contract last week for 19.99 for 2GB data and 2000 minutes.

Took the same 19.99 contract on Monday and on phone with EE now trying to get the 15.99 one which is equivalent but with unlimited minutes. Did they just swap it no problem for you?

The iPhone 5 pre orders from Apple started to dispatch (for launch day) on the Wednesday before at 5pm!

So it could started happening within the next 30 minutes, if we're lucky!!

Same offer is broadly available to new customers too. The 10GB deal you describe on a 12 month SIM only contract is £27.99 on their site. Order from Quidco and you get £70 cash-back. Smooth that over the 12 months of the contract and it's £22 a month.

I am no expert but it should be ok for 19 sept if you're still worried, maybe contact apple and find out what is going on.

OHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT, it just changed to preparing to dispatch

I have an O2 nano sim I got in 2012 with the release of the iPhone 5. Because O2 doesn't support 4G data on the iPhone 5, I kept using my 3G Simplicity contract.
Tomorrow I plan on changing to a 4G Simplicity tariff. Does anyone know if I'll need to change sim cards, or if my current one will allow 4G speeds?

I was planning on changing tariffs online, but if I need a new sim I'd may as well go in store. :D

Just had a text from Carphone Warehouse,

Little update on my situation, last Friday I ordered a 6Plus 64Gb around half past 4. It was accidentally put through as a Gold, so they cancelled it and put it through again as a space grey at about half past 5.

Just had a text saying that the gold one would not arrive on launch day and would be here on the 13th October and they would credit my account £25 as an apology. Obviously that order is in the process of being cancelled.

Fingers crossed I don't get the same text for the space grey!

This is roughly the same as me - I'm a couple of months in. Cheers for the heads up!

No excess on claims.

Re claim times, my one use was a dead iPhone 4 on Friday after water-damage and a replacement on Tuesday. Reading online it seems to take two or three days, which some people might consider a deal breaker.

No you don't need to change sim.

I have an O2 microsim, but I ordered a nanosim from Amazon for 1p, and will swap over when I get my iPhone 6 on Friday(!!!).
