Im thinking about cancelling my iphone 6 order and getting a 6+. I just need it to arrive before the 25th October, what you guys think??

I'm not sure. I ordered mine on 20 Sep midnight. It will be dispatched 16-23 Oct. I think if you do it now, u will get it at the closed period.

You should get it by then if you re order but no guarantees I'm afraid.

Soooooo... I went to the depot and was able to collect my phone :D
So who cares about the missed delivery - it's here! And it's gorgeous!

HOWEVER
It has one dead pixel :(

The question is, what should I do now:

1. Return this phone and wait for weeks for a replacement

2. Live with a dead pixel for a while and then replace it when the stock will pick-up.

3. Just learn to live with a single dead pixel.

What do you think?
Is it likely that more pixels will die if one is dead already?

P.S. The pixel is in the top right corner, next to a battery level indicator. It's hard to see on non-white backgrounds.

Received my 6+ last friday.

Loved it so much I have ordered the misses her 6+ 64GB grey.

Processing Items Dispatched: 3 - 4 weeks
Delivery: 20 Oct, 2014 - 27 Oct, 2014 by Standard Shipping

Honestly its one pixel, I'd keep it but then again you paid a lot so it really depends will it bother you that much?

I would send it back straight away, your paying £600+ for a phone with a dead pixel, even though it takes the piss I would still send it back.

I would be interested in seeing this as I have not seen a dead pixel on an iPhone before. Does it not disappear after a forced restart etc?

sad but I'm getting a little bit excited about the news that units are shipping early (I'm in the 10th-17th Oct timeframe)

I need apple to put me out of my misery as I keep waking up randomly through the night to check my order status page and store stock levels I'm starting to look like a zombie :D

lol wish i had your patience, got the same date as you but still went and queued and when that didn't work out went for reserve and pick up and got a 6 rather than the 6 plus which my partner was lucky to get as she was quicker on the button than me.

Wait for the stocks to go back up! Enjoy your new phone for now... Then complain. No point in living without one when you can live with the one with a dead pixel for a couple of weeks :)

That is a potentially treacherous path to go down. DSR allow you to send a product back after a couple of weeks, but any longer and you are chancing it with Apple as they could (they may choose not to, but still) argue acceptance of that defect. Personally, I would stay on the safe side and send it back right away so that they can start processing a replacement sooner.

Apple give you a years free applecare with their iPhones... Surely this would be covered

my mrs is went in around lunchtime and was told they have no 6 or 6s in stock :(

checking reserve and collect constantly but have yet to see any availibility at either Glasgow store, should have ordered earlier :(

If you can get to an Apple Store they should swap it straight over... If it is faulty.... But I don't know what the policy is for dead / stuck pixels on iPhones.

I returned a 64gb 6 to Buchanan St at lunchtime decided to keep my plus after trying both over the weekend. Wonder what they do with a return

If you manage to reserve one I would call and check before going to collect it. I got screwed over at weekend at the Buchanan St store. Reserved a 6 plus at midnight and went to collect it Saturday afternoon. They didn't have any when I got there as they claimed reservation system allocated stock that several stores didn't have. They didn't try to contact me to save me a journey and to be honest were pretty arrogant about it seeing as it was their error. Have emailed a complaint as the manager that was on wasn't much help either. Got a half hearted apology after a wasted trip and incurred parking expenses in town.
