Just went for the EE 20gb £53.99 with £50 upfront. iPhone 6 Plus, silver.

Brought it on Phones4U, I hope they promise on their delivery.

:( I called them about 30 minutes ago actually and they said my order had been accepted an delivery was scheduled next Friday. Nice to get these things in writing though!

I think CPW use DPD couriers which are one of the better ones. I'll be following that chap on his route online until he gets to me. They give you a 1hr window first thing in the morning which is great.

Hi Guys, I've just had confirmation from Carphone warehouse that my order has been accepted. It went so smoothly at 7.55am that I was worried and reserved an iPhone 6 plus at the Trafford Centre. I feel guilty and would like to cancel the reservation so that someone else can get the phone, but I can't see anywhere to do it? I'm a good girl, see? :p

I will pay you for it - can't we go in together or something :cool::):)

To be honest after thinking about it and reading Apple's website a little i think basically when you click the order button it just checks your card details to ensure they are valid. Then, in order for it to move onto processing they need to check the account to ensure there are available funds and therefore place a hold on the money before they can move the order forward. Thats the point where you will get the fraud people sticking their noses in. (In a nice way of course...!)

Which is why after my payment was finally accepted it went straight to 'Processing', they wouldn't be processing it further unless they were sure you were 'good for the money'. So to be honest I'm sure if its in Processing stage its all fine.

My check will probably come up tomorrow, as long as you catch their call to confirm the payment is yours it's usually fine.

UK apple store shipping

Pardon my ignorance, but what shipping service does the UK apple store use? Royal Mail? I'm an american service member stationed/living on an RAF Base and I am wondering if there will be trouble delivering on base if it is not royal mail. FYI I already ordered my 6+ from the UK apple store at 0830(something) and got my processing email at 0840 w/delivery on the 19th :)

The payment for mine was also blocked due to fraud but it says processing now. I might ring apple to make sure it went through.

They use UPS afaik

Considering I have ordered both sizes in 128GB - I will only actually be keeping one handset (I just wanted to get my pre-order in while I decide on which to keep!).

Will the handsets be in the Apple stores yet for me to go in and have a look at the sizes etc? Or do they not get them until the 19th either??

That way I can just cancel one of my pre-orders........

Hmm anyone else having trouble accessing their order summary/status? Keep being redirected to a "We're Sorry" page

Hey,

They should use UPS, my advice would be to inform the gatehouse at the base of your expected delivery from UPS so the driver is ok to bring it on to site for you :)

What the heck has happened to the EE site, still down.

Tell me about it...... :(

Yes same here. App works though.

I think Apple is just catching up with all the orders and processing the first batch.

Just walked into EE at 09.30, reserved iPhone 6 silver 64gb. No hassle. Hope it's there next week!!!! Does this guarantee it?

After my past experiences of ordering release day iPhones from CPW, I'd be inclined to keep my Apple Store order as CPW have a track record of cocking up pre-orders or failing to deliver on release day.

Reservations update for Apple store at Trinity Leeds:
All colours and all sizes available for the 6 for pickup on release day.
No 6 Plus models though.

I have to stick with CPW now as it's an upgrade and they've taken the upfront cost off my card. I phoned them and they confirmed it had been accepted and will be with me Friday. I know there could be a cock up, and I may not get it then, but I'll have to wait I suppose. The upgrade has gone through now.
