I used my long 14 digit number beginning 309... Parcel now showing up
With correct address. Meanwhile that number has gone from the apple store
Thanks. Just tried it and it worked. Good job I saved it from earlier.

Says "Collected".

Just an FYI for anyone in Northern Ireland, Ive just spoken to UK mail who have advised that their service to NI is a 48 hour one so unlikely our phones will arrive tomorrow :( :( I kind of don't mind as i'm working nightshift tonight and tomorrow but i'm sure others will mind very much!

atrevers, I don't see how that's possible without a backup? Could you explain it a bit more please? It sounds like an ideal solution! Just not sure how to do it...

I just performed this. I was running an iPhone 5 on 9.1 Public Beta. Put phone into recovery mode whilst plugged into iTunes and then clicked Update. It restored my iPhone to 9.0.1 and I've lost no data. I then performed a full backup of the iPhone to iTunes ready to restore onto my 6s tomorrow.

Yes, I can see my order status on the UK Mail "Manage My Delivery" page.

For those who have now 'lost' the 309 code from their order page and are in a panic, please see below:

TIP FOR THOSE WHOS ORDERS SHIPPED VIA UK MAIL

Currently in your account you'll have a tracking number starting with '309' (or '310'). This may disappear in a few hours and be replaced with the '872' delivery number (so you'll have the tracking and delivery number showing the same thing). If this happens and you didn't keep a note of the original '309' (or '310') tracking code, simply select 'Customer reference' on the UK Mail tracking site, enter the '872' code in the box along with your post code in order to track your iPhone! :D

In the linked website it says to do that if you're upgrading, there's a different procedure for the downgrade:

Go back to the current version of iOS
If you're using iOS beta and want to go back to the current version of iOS, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Put your device in recovery mode and restore it. If you turned on Find My iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password after the restore to activate your device.
  3. If you can't finish the restore, get help.
  4. After the restore is complete, you can set up your device from your archived backup. This backup should be from an earlier version of iOS.
If your device has a prerelease version of iOS and you restore the device to an earlier version of iOS, you might not be able to restore your backup. This can happen if the backup is from a later version of iOS. For example, if you restore your device to the current version of iOS and try to use a backup that you created using a prerelease version of iOS.

But I'll still give it a try when I go back home

Ive had no confirmation from O2 and my order still says in progress. Does this mean I'm not getting mine tomorrow?

I just did a live chat with them about the same thing. Mine's "in progress" and when I click on the order I get an error. Chat person said all is well and will be here tomorrow

An Apple chat girl told me the 3XXXXX number will change once the package has been 'Collected'.

So if you go UKMail and use the 8XXXXXX number you are then taken to a page describing movements. At the bottom of this page it will also display the 3XXXXXXX number if you fancy making a not of it.

So Ive spent the past few dats trying to find the best screen protector that complies with Apple regulations.
After contacting many companies I can across one was perfect.
Made from gorilla glass and the thinnest I've seen at 0.15mm it's in the us but the lady is extremely helpful and so far I've had great service
Here's the link for anyone interested

It appears that the spigen glas.tr slim are likely to cause problems at 0.4mm thick. While they may work the force touch can struggle. According to Apple they need to be 0.3mm thick or less and have no air bubbles.

That sounds awesome! I was stressing about being on a public beta on my new phone :D will do this when I get home! Thanks

It'll be here on Friday they always are.

Separately, re John Lewis. I have ordered a 6S. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should give the 6S+ a go as this will likely be my phone for the next three years. I might purchase a 6S+ from JL, play with it over the weekend, and return it if I don't like it (I have a work iPhone 6 for comparison). Will JL returns policy cause any hiccups with this? I'm on Three.

Thanks all!

Apologies to bump my own post, but I think it may have been lost amongst all this delivery notification chat.

I think I may order an iPhone 6S+ from John Lewis and play with it over the weekend with my three sim. Will this affect my returns options if I don't get on with it? The network locking has worried me.

I'll just keep my 6S from Apple boxed up and ready to go as a backup.

Cheers
