Loving how quick TouchID is on this phone. While I've liked it on the 6 I always found it a bit laggy and had to keep my finger on the scanner so long I felt I'd have been better off swiping.

I'm now starting to really dislike my iPad Air though. I've spent the last year trying to use TouchID on a device that doesn't have it and now I'm trying to 3D Touch the damn thing. Gimmick or not, it's easy to get used to :(
yea i feel touch id is now at the point it should have been when they released it on 5s.

try not to break your ipad screen haha

Well made the decision to package mine up and I have set up a return with Apple! Nice phone but once the excitement of opening a new gadget wore off it's just a 6 with some new features baked in. 3D touch - no thanks, live photos a complete gimmick (IMO). Having 2GB of RAM is nice but I've never had had any problems using my 6 and it manages fine for what I use it for with 1GB, Camera barely any better and it was hard to tell differences between shots taken on each device. This has just reinforced the reason why I tend to steer clear of 'S' years! Hopefully the 7 will impress in 12 months! :)
I did exactly this with the 5 from a 4s just didn't seem much of an upgrade as much as it was a re-modelled phone. That's why I've gone from a 6 to a 6s plus and I've got to say I'm loving the increased size and the screen and the camera.Mind I've barely used the 3D touch, just keep forgetting it's there.

I know where you're coming from, but I feel the opposite in some ways. I've moved onto the S deliberately this year, so while I agree it's not a huge difference from the 6, the improvements they have made make a big difference. I've started to realise that they've been making the bigger leaps in performance and features in S years lately and really the biggest change on a whole number year is the design.

I'm a little surprised how many people are posting that they're sending the 6S / Plus back though.

what was the point in ordering it then? you knew the specs of the phone, you knew the features. kind of pointless

Happy with EE. Preordered on 12th Sept, went through at 8:20am. Had to call up to order as I get discount and wanted to make sure it went through. Didn't get a confirmation email but called up and they sent me one out.

Got my text on Wednesday to say I would recieve it on Friday 25th and I would receive a text from DPD Thursday. Didn't receive tracking text from DPD but called up EE and they gave me they tracking details. Got my text this morning from DPD giving me my hour slot. Also got a text from EE to say my discount was applied to my account. Phone arrived within time frame. Very happy with the service. I'm assuming the lack of communication is due to volume of orders. No issues and very happy with my phone :D

Has anyone had any problems with DPD today? My delivery was scheduled for 16:30 - 17:30 and at 17:30 my status changed to delivery attempted at 17:27 but no one was available to receive it. This is total rubbish as I didn't move for the whole hour! No note left or anything, not impressed. From the Bristol depot.
Hopefully I can collect it from the depot tomorrow but as it's a work address, I don't have a utility or anything with my name and that address on it. I'm hoping my drivers licence and work staff pass will suffice.

LOL. The one I keep trying most on the iPad is to enter the app switcher with the screen edge 3D Touch. I'm finding that so easy to do on the phone.

True. But if I do return the 6s then I will probably get the iPhone 7 next year. My current 6 is less than 2 months old as an Apple replacement product and it's running great since the latest iOS9 update, I mean battery life is vastly improved I'm getting over 40 hours standby time and close to 6.5-7 hours usage time.
When the 7 comes out, with some awesome new technologies I know I'm going to regret getting the 6S lol

Because I wanted to try it for myself?! I got sucked in with the excellent advertising from Apple.... Yes I knew the features and I thought that I may have liked them, better the devil you know hey?

I'm very disappointed, I have an email from apple stating that I would receive my iPhone today "Delivers 25/09/2015"

I also have an email and text I received today from UK Mail stating that the consignment is out on the van for delivery today.

I also rang UK Mail who promised me I would receive my handset before 8pm today.

I ordered the iPhone @ 8.02am on the 12th of September on the understanding I would get it on launch day.

I'm very disappointed, both with Apple & their choice of courier.

I took the whole day off work today just to make sure I was home to sign for my delivery.

If I knew that was not the case I would have reserved in store to make sure I was able to get my handset on launch.

I guess maybe it will arrive tomorrow although now both Apple and UK Mail's websites now show the date as September 28th 2015, if that is indeed the case then thats another huge disappointment.

I believe this is a clear breach of The Consumer Contracts Regulations that state goods must be delivered within the time frame you agree with the seller.

I'm with you on this! Ordered two iPhones, one was shipped by UPS and the second by DPD. UPS delivery arrived at 11:30am. DPD had not arrived by 7:30pm. Called them and they said it'll definitely be delivered today. It's now coming up to 10:30pm and still no iPhone! Tracked package and it's now saying "Your parcel could not be delivered as we don't have the full name/number of the premises" - UPS didn't have a problem!

Apple will be hearing about this first thing tomorrow morning!

I'm having problems with DPD too - not received order and now saying "Your parcel could not be delivered as we don't have the full name/number of the premises". I called them at 7:30pm and they maintained it would be delivered tonight!

Okay, this is getting annoying now, I can't download any apps, they just fail on the download attempt :(

Hopefully it'll calm down overnight...

Right ok. I thought we weren't supposed to run these batteries completely down?
Yes, the odd time is OK I think once a month is recommended you do a full discharge & charge cycle. Bad for for lithium-ion batteries to run to empty regularly. So I've gathered but there seems to be conflicting views on this.
