It is indeed. I wasn't sure but today they emailed with a PDF explaining the Mobile Loss and Theft Cover, including policy number.

Think it takes time. I keep going into apps and forgetting I could have used 3D touch to get into the option (like camera) so I go back out and do it again lol. Seems pretty stupid but hopefully it will make me get use to it.

I personally think its down to developers now - I have only found 1 app that I used it for and must admit its fantastic, dropbox.
I store all my invoices in there so its nice to be able to peek at the PDF before selecting the correct one.

But everyone has different requirements so if the developers get behind this everyone will eventually have a few apps they'd feel lost without 3D touch IMO.

That's good to know as on that tariff myself did you ask for it or did they email that automatically

iCloud backed up my stored contacts from 2 years ago!!! Some numbers will be out of date but it's better than nothing and having to manually input the limited numbers stored on Galaxy S4.

Google couldn't back up contacts details even if you backed them up 5 minutes ago!!!

Why don't you use the move to iOS app? My Mrs did yesterday and it transferred everything perfectly

Despite the lack of queues at the stores Apple are expected to surpass the record breaking sales of last year. I think this year most people ether pre ordered or reserved for instore pick up.

I'm finding I'm liking 3D Touch, even though it does feel a gimmicky and underused right now. So much so I'm trying to 3D Touch my iPad to get to the App Switcher. I'd like some options built into the popups on the homescreen that could give some functionality without opening the app at all. For example Dropbox, it would be nice to be able to select the search option and type into a box that pops up there then the app opens. Only cosmetic I agree, but I think it could be handy. Especially in things like Mail too.

But, no doubt it will improve as we go.

I've been having an absolute nightmare with UK Mail too - my silicone cases were supposed to be delivered on the 15th of September. They were delivered yesterday evening. Took me 8 phonecalls/chats with Apple, 3 phonecalls with Syncreon and 3 phone convos with UK Mail itslef to finally get them.

They mess people around, blame each other for poor logistics and it's just like a game of tennis with you, the consumer being the ball.

UK Mail is perhaps the worst courier in the UK - I'm really surprised that apple even lets Syncreon use them. They're unreliable, rude and just *****!! On one occasion my order was delivered to my neighbour because the driver couldn't be arsed to knock on my door 🙂

They will re-attempt delivery tomorrow or the next working day. After that, be prepared for a lot of grief with getting your parcel. I know I did!!

Well you say that, but I rang Apple yesterday and explained the situation and the guy at apple apologised but couldn't justify the breach at all and said he'd log it on the system.

I made quite clear on the phone even if they had any form of exclusion clause doesn't mean it's allowed, they have to conform to UK laws and regulations just like everyone else.

Moving forward, if I have to take another day of work I'm well within my rights to pursue legal action against Apple, to recover costs for what's legally known as 'consequential loss'.

This isn't something I plan to do, I'm in talks again with UK Mail to try and rectify the situation although at this point I'm not holding my breath.

That's so going to be me when mine arrives! I've always wanted white phones and due to a combination of impatience and cocked up orders I've mostly ended up with black / SG over the years. Only managed white twice and have had every iPhone except 5s.

I'm going to gaze at the white front till I go dizzy on Monday. Bye bye depressing bleak SG!

Just spoke to Apple about the issue I have over the sleep/wake button, they would be happy to replace the handset but due to limited availability it would be around 2-3 weeks before my 6s would be back in stock for replacement. So I'm going ahead with a return & refund.

If I really wanted a 6s 128GB in gold ASAP then my options seem fairly limited at the mo! I see John Lewis have stock available, same price but they lock to first network sim used! Also 2 year warranty. Anyone ordered from John Lewis??

There's quite a few posts here about that. Just bear in mind that those phones will lock to the first SIM / carrier you put in it apparently.

Yes I saw the posts about it. That really doesn't bother me and when I come to sell it on I could have my carrier unlock the device at a cost?? How do they get the iPhones to lock to the first network sim used? I might be being thick but I've never understood that!?

Has anyone bought an iPhone from JL, are they just the same as one from Apple apart from the first sim card lock?

I have no idea how they do it, but it seems quite common. Other than the SIM lock it seems the JL phones are identical in every other way to a phone you'd get from Apple.

I doubt it but I believe Three would then unlock the phone for free if it did lock to that network giving you an unlocked phone. Other carriers still charge I believe and some (I think EE and Vodafone if I've read this thread right) can be very difficult about it

I have a 6S Plus 64GB Space Grey. It's sim unlocked and I'm on Vodafone.

Just noticed its occasionally dropping signal. Goes to 'No Signal' and a text message won't send. I'm at home and never had this with the 6 Plus so thinking it's an issue with the new phone.

Anyone else experience signal dropping?

Yes I'm quite tempted to purchase one from JL, it says on the site they have more than 10 available in my colour & storage choice but the other configurations are selling out! This means I won't have to wait up to 3 weeks for a replacement. I also wonder how the warranty would work, 2 years warranty on the handset, is that with Apple or JL? All new iPhones have a 1 year warranty with Apple right even it's SIM locked?? (Sorry for all the questions) 🙂

It transfers everything though, photos the lot defo worth a shot if your coming from android to iOS

Ha - I am the opposite! Delighted to be going back to black bezel and screen after 2 years of gold 5s.

I wish it had a good back and trim but I can sort that out with a case....
 
After a day with the 6S Plus I am very impressed, I upgraded from a 6 and loving the bigger screen size.
It also seems much faster.
