Absolutely love my 6s Plus. Does anyone else find it annoying that as the Touch ID is so quick now that they can't get to the camera short cut on the lock screen lol?

Yes, the Apple Wallet on lock screen is pointless unless you use a different finger first.

Finding the battery life improved on my iPhone 6S over the iPhone 6, which is odd. Assumed it would be the same.

Battery is smaller on both 6s and 6s plus. you would expect it to be worse. Its hard to tell at the minute for me as i am using my phone more than i usually would lol

Now this is interesting! Was expecting it to be slightly worse given a smaller battery capacity, maybe it's down to the improved processor which is supposed to be more energy efficient and also iOS 9.

I'm using the side/front of my thumb, almost the thumb nail, and double clicking for ApplePay, this works well.

Agreed, I'm surprised by how little battery is used in standby.

Quick battery update (6S Plus version) before I go eat:

Unplugged at 08:00 Saturday morning. Had to give it a 30 min top up charge to force an iCloud backup which hadn't been working previously. Since then I've had a few calls, been on 2 bike rides using it a GPS tracker, messed about with 3D Touch, browsed the web, some Facebook, a few messages, a couple of emails etc. Basically pretty much used it as 'normal' for me. Now, 28 hours later I'm on 60%. Gonna have to connect it charge soon ready for work, but I don't think it's doing too bad.

Struggling to believe your 5s has a better battery life than the 6s - The 6s battery is much, much bigger. Are you sure you're not just playing around with the 6s a lot more because it's "new"?
Possibly. Too early (obviously) to tell real 6S battery life and it does 'do' a lot more than the 5S.

I'm very much liking the 6S as a tablet. I just don't like it much as a phone.

Any good screen protectors for the 6s?
People have got on well with the spigen glas.tr and zagg ones. Glass really is the only way to treat your expensive phone.

That said I'm going naked for the first time ever. My spigen glass held up well last year and that isn't anywhere near as hard as the iPhone screen (only as hard as a 9H pencil vs the gorilla glass which is harder than steel) Plus my fears date back to the days when screens were made of plastic and the stylus used to scratch them.

Loving the feel of the actual screen for the first time ever :)

The battery on the 6s isn't much bigger than the 5s! The 6s uses a 1715mAh battery and the 5s uses a 1560mAh battery, so only 155mAh advantage with the 6s which won't be very noticeable given the 6s is is quite a bit bigger.

Check the battery stats on Apple and they are actually very similar for both models.

With the die shrink of the A9 the decrease in battery size should be offset, so it makes sense that the battery life hasn't suffered when you look at the entire hardware rather than just one part.

I hope someone can clear something up...
My mute button seems loose. Please let me explain...In the unmute position the switch seems to move ever so slightly. So if you gently touch it you can feel it move slightly...I hope that makes sense.
Could someone please check theirs and tell me if this is normal?

Thanks

So I finally put he who must not be told out of his misery this afternoon and told him I'd upgraded. He didn't even notice despite the fact that my phone is now white and not black and I've been using it all weekend. Anyhow just to placate him I pushed him into the three store this afternoon and made him upgrade to the S6 edge plus so there was nothing he could say lol

Yes, they wanted me to wait around 3 weeks for a replacement 6s but I decided to send it back for a refund. I have bought one from John Lewis and it should be getting delivered on Monday according to my order page. I know it'll lock to the first SIM inserted but that does not bother me! I just hope the buttons are OK on the new handset! We shall see next week when it arrives!

I'm not 100% sure but I believe Three don't charge for unlocking devices (whether you are a pay monthly or PAYG customer)! One way around having to pay your provider to unlock your phone if they charge is to nip into Three, or a supermarket and pick up a Three sim for 99p or sometimes free from Three stores, put it in your phone and request it unlocked by Three on their website, should be unlocked within a few hours! As I said, I'd double check this with them over live chat or something, but if they confirm, its an excellent way around it and its cheap/free!

You are fixating on the battery size when there are many other components that also affect battery life, like the soc used.

The 6 was significantly better than the 5s on battery life and so far it looks like the 6s is slightly better than the 6.

I was under the impression Three don't lock their phones..?

Phones bought from Three may not be locked, however if you buy a phone from a retailer (such as John Lewis or Carphone Warehouse) who lock their phones to the network of the first sim you put in the phone, then it will be locked to this network, whether it is a network who lock their phones or not. :)

EDIT: That is why they also unlock phones for free, so customers from Carphone Warehouse and other retailers who lock phones, can have their phone unlocked in line with customers who went directly to Three, instead of using a third-party.
