I ordered a new iPhone 6S contract with Three.......... and failed the instant credit check.

Was told to call their credit team, who looked at my credit file, said no problem you're approved, and took their £99 payment.

Have recently moved house, so maybe not being on the electoral roll caused problems?

Yeah being on the electoral roll can cause quite a few issues I think you can update it early online it is definitely something I would say to do
 
Had a look at O2. The tariffs are all goofy compared to last year. This is all based on 128GB iPhone 6S:

Last year (now) I have:
Unlimited texts and minutes + 2GB data for £18, plus £20 phone payment, with £270 up front.

Now though it seems the closest is either:
Unlimited texts and minutes + 1GB data for £17.50, plus £25 phone payment, with £180 up front
OR
Unlimited texts and minutes + 3GB data for £21, plus £25 phone payment, with £170 up front.

I can't speak to them at the moment since webchat isn't up yet. Don't suppose any of y'all know if they'll let me keep my current tariff plus phone payment? So £18 plus £20 phone payment with £310 up front.

(Also, the phone is £40 more than last year. Does that usually happen?)
 
I think the fact that the order process did generate an order number and did validate my credit card does mean it went through but I'll be a lot happier when I get an email to confirm it. Maybe Apple's systems are getting overloaded and they are putting a lower priority on sending out confirmation emails vs booking new orders.

Luckily I screenshotted my order number and managed to enter it in the order tracking thing (when it finally started working) and it confirmed my order had gone through before any confirmation email or charge to my Santander account
 
I've got the same problem. Ordered through Apple Store app, paid with a combination of an Apple gift card & the balance on my Amex card. I didn't note down the time but I think it was about 08:10 and 40-ish minutes later still no email confirmation.

I did note down the order number luckily and I logged onto my Amex account just now and can see a £1 charge pending for Apple. That's what I would expect since I think they just put a test transaction on the credit card to test it is valid and will post the actual charge when the product ships.

I had to put my order through as two separate orders as the App would only let me order one phone at a time.

No email still, but transaction showing in the Apple Pay wallet thing.

And in the order status the orders and order numbers are showing.

02 let you pay more of your phone off, I doubt you will be able to keep your current tariff. The best way to do so if your in a contract with 02 is to just buy the iPhone out right and continue with your current plan, thats what I'm doing.

Basically yes, considering I'm sending it to my personal Doddle address to avoid having to wait in for it, as well as to make it harder for UPS to screw things up again this year. Don't get me wrong, I can totally imagine them saying "we were just too busy to deliver it when we said" like they did with my 6, but it should at least prevent them from saying "you weren't in" etc.
 
Reserved a 64GB Space Grey 6s and ordered the same model online.

Couldn't get into the online store at first so went down the reservation route, then the online store started working and I ordered through there.
 
Managed to get in at 8.01 on the dot on the iPhone app. Had issues with Apple Pay, it wouldn't accept my address for some reason so I had to go back and go through the traditional checkout process.
 
What are people's experiences of reserving and picking up on the day from the Apple Store? Got two SG 6S+ 64gb pre-ordered but then managed to get two of the same reserved from Covent Garden on the 25th.

Just want to check the store service is reliable before cancelling the preorder...! Would rather have them in hand etc.

I can't be the only one having constant "we're sorry we can't find that page" or just plain white pages of nothing?

Been over 50 minutes across many devices and browsers now. I'm highly stressed.

Ring them. if you're already on EE just call 150. Bit of a hold time but a lot easier and stress free than ordering on the site which is still broken for me too.

Managed to reserve a 64 GB space grey for pick up from White City! Actually took me longer to get on here than the actual pre order

I reserved 2 my only concern is how sure are we they will be there?

I also placed an online order and the truth is that it is much more convenient to go to the store and purchase for me but there doesn't appear to be a way to check your reservations at all
 
128GB Gold 6S Plus ordered. A bit of a change from my space grey 6 Plus. Confirmation at 08.06 for delivery on 25th. Fairly smooth but didn't get access to the app until around 08.04.
 
Had both confirmations and upgraded with 3 too - got a stonking deal - same tariff - no upgrade fee - no early upgrade free (2 months out!) wtf!

Just had both confirmation emails from apple - happy days!
 
The website still looks to be down on both chrome and Safari!? Good thing we have the app. For those of you who went for store pickup was that through the reservations system, or as a delivery address? I like the idea that they are doing store reservations. Hopefully that will mean the hoards of scalper gangs wanting to pay in cash to ship abroad will be left without any this year.
