Still no emails after over an hour.

So decided to reserve another for Covent Garden in case they don't go through.

Not the colour I wanted, but there we go!

I ordered a new iPhone 6S contract with Three.......... and failed the instant credit check.

Was told to call their credit team, who looked at my credit file, said no problem you're approved, and took their £99 payment.

Have recently moved house, so maybe not being on the electoral roll caused problems?
Bet that was a panicky moment!

No email for me yet either, I'm confident of landing in the 25/9 delivery group since the model I ordered was still showing 25/9 for delivery a few moments ago.

Well I've pre-ordered but from the looks of it I've done it the daft way.

I started a chat session with o2 at 7:55am. Didn't think to process the order via the website and expected the phones to be busy. My God was the agent slow in chat (if still extremely helpful). Didn't process the order until 9:15am. I mean COME ON !! HOW LONG DID THAT TAKE!!

Was so frustrating. So much legal blurb to reply 'yes' to. Long pauses in-between each chat submission. I was asked about half a dozen times if I wanted to proceed with the order and another set of legal copy was chucked in my direction. What was I thinking?

"Thanks, I know it’s a lot of information but we are nearly done now" - I had to LOL at this and just accepted the fate of my decision.

At the end of it all I had to click on the link and pay the upfront cost etc to 'check out' and agree to more legal blurb. Had a meltdown when the o2 payment site crashed. Literally felt like eating my way through the computer with my face of rage.

I guess he provisionally 'saved' the phone for me at the start of the call. Still, he stated that the 25th September is an estimate (not sure if this is o2 covering themselves). My final order confirmation does state that I'll get my phone on the '25th' so I guess I should accept that as the likely day of delivery.

At least now I can chill.

Ordered 2 iPhone 6S Space Grey, 64GB...
One at 8:09 via the app and apple pay - confirmation email received, delivered 25/9
The other at 8:10 via the website - no confirmation email received yet

Apple sure know how to keep me stressing

Was tempted to reserve like you as an insurance policy incase my order didn't work, but my nearest store is to far for me to pick up on a weekday

I reserved 2 my only concern is how sure are we they will be there?

I also placed an online order and the truth is that it is much more convenient to go to the store and purchase for me but there doesn't appear to be a way to check your reservations at all

It's guaranteed. Last year for the 6 I did the same in the gold. Turned up at 17:00 walked right it showed my email and they said we have it waiting for you in the back. Was a good experience

Ring them. if you're already on EE just call 150. Bit of a hold time but a lot easier and stress free than ordering on the site which is still broken for me too.

128GB 6S Plus Space Grey ordered for launch day (hopefully) :D

I can't I'm doing this for my wife who is at work, they wont let me upgrade her contract as I can;'t make myself sound like a woman convincingly enough.

1 hour 20 minutes and still not working. AGH!

If you have an email, you're sorted. A reservation guarantees you a unit of stock, and they will of course have spares on top of that for various eventualities. I went with the reserve option last year, and the time slots were given in hour windows — this time, they're every fifteen minutes, so it looks like they've tweaked it a bit. Regardless, the reservations system is connected to the inventory system of the individual stores, so don't worry — if you're received the email, there's nothing to worry about. :D

This. I reserved last year and had no issues. At the back, they had LOADS of stock aside for people who reserved. Once you've got the email, you're safe!

Last year there was a problem with reservations on the second day, I had a 6+ 128Gb reserved but they didn't have it, however they did give me a 6+ 64gb from their spare stock, a free case and £25 store credit as compensation. I have reservations from the two different Bristol stores just in case.

If I join quidco now, can I claim the cashback?
Ive no idea how it works! lol
You actually can, as when one of my friends signed up to a contract with iPhone 6 earlier this year,I told him about quidco afterwards and suggested he just signed up and tried a manual cash back claim.

So just signed up, then go to the O2 page and click 'visit retailer & gain cashback' - I think it's then 24 or 48 hours you'll have to wait before you can go on and do a manual cashback claim, saying that your cashback didn't track :). You may as well try!

how are people managing to reserve? I have tried that but when i log in it just keeps looping through an update your apple id screen

It was doing that to me - Apple have changed the password strength requirements which is what the update is all about. I ended up resetting my password through the 'Forgot your password?' option and then logging in with my new password. Got in with no problems after that.
