They normally only take the payment when it ships, how have you already paid for it?
I am paying it on instalments , it works out cheaper than taking a contract out. Don't judge lol :( Probably makes it more complicated now because of that for me to buy one on release day if possible , right? Like it won't let me pick one up from a reservation that wasn't collected.

Nothing wrong with instalments. That's how I'm paying for my Mac Mini and Apple Watch!

Next year I'll likely trade my 6S Plus in (and put that towards paying the handset upfront, direct from Apple) and go Sim Only. What I save on my airtime agreement I'll fund towards a new iPhone.

No judgement (millions buy them on much more expensive 'finance' by signing up for a contract with a network), I hadn't thought about those buying on finance.

Yeah I am planning on getting a Giffgaff sim which i also use in my iPad to keep the costs down which by the looks of it so far will save me roughly 20-30 per month when I leave EE in the next couple weeks time. Out of curiosity though anyone else's order showing 3-4 weeks ?

I was out this evening and someone had a 6+. It's funny how when I see other people with the phone I think 'it looks awkward and too big'. It's been a while since I held one so I asked to do just that and again surprised at how comfortable I am holding it. Sure, one hand texting isn't exactly possible but I can deal with that. Actually looks hilarious how small my 5s is in comparison. The Plus was also fine in my pocket.

Roll on the 25th. Glad I opted for the 6s+ ahead of the 6s.

I had a second play with it in the Apple Store today and still felt it was too big for me!

I even held it up like I was on a call and found myself thinking this isn't too bad. When the 6+ was first released it was the first thing I found unattractive about it. Thought it looked daft. I said at the time I'd never get a Plus. It's taken a year for me to change my mind and the order I placed was 50% gut feeling that I'd be happier with the big screen. Turns out my hands and fingers are Apple friendly. The 6s is still a more practical size for general, traditional use.

The single hand text thing will be missed but it's a sacrifice I can accept.

Same here. Thought I'd never get a Plus but went and pre ordered one.

The thing I'll miss about it most is being able to use it one handed while lying in bed. But you always hear about how looking at screens before sleeping isn't good for you, so I convinced myself the Plus would be better on that basis ;)

Really torn. I have an offer from Envirofone but it expires on the 19th. Ideally i want to have my current 6Plus until the new one arrives...even though i have a backup phone. Because;

a) I love my current 6Plus and wouldn't even be upgrading if it wasn't for 2GB of RAM and 12MP Cam.
b) I might end up with a dud on launch day (been burned before) and want the option of sticking with what i have if things go sour

But if i wait, i take a hit on resale value.

What to do, what to do...

Whats your current offer?

so this was the offer you had before the announcement? as yeah i imagine the price of that now would be £360 now

£350 for a 64GB 6 Plus right now.

I was going to go nowhere near this 6S Plus, being a Tick not Tock upgrader but for reasons I've still yet to fathom I woke up on Saturday and preordered the darned thing. Still got time to cancel for a week or so yet I guess.

I know that feeling. I was feeling a little underwhelmed with the 6s leaks and thought the plus was too big for my use.. So clearly I preorder a 6s+

I am such a giant mess this year. I'm really really tempted by the extra screen space of the 6s+, but I'm worried that I'll hate the giantness of the phone, so I pre-ordered a 6s and a 6s+.

I also then noticed that they were doing in-store reservations, and since UPS/UKMail deliveries always come late afternoon here, I figured I'd snag a couple of 9am reservations too.

Now I don't know if I should cancel the pre-orders and trust that the in-store reservations aren't going to turn into a giant disappointment, or let the reservations expire and just wait for the pre-orders.

Also wondering if maybe I keep the 6s+ in-store, and cancel that pre-order, then just let the 6s arrive late afternoon.

And all of this is before I have to use the 6s+ for 2 weeks to decide whether I'm returning the 6s or the 6s+.

ARGH! ;)

To be honest with you.. on one hand I understand your frustration and indecision.. it took a bit of time for me to figure out which size to go for (having had a 6.. i figure the jump to 6s+ is less than a straight jump from 5s to 6+ last year.. anyway, i digress)....

I'm a little disappointed when people buy / reserve so many phones only ever intending to keep one. In my mind, it's unnecessary greed. I don't want this to turn nasty, so I hope you're not offended...

It's just... by sucking up those 3 other handsets, you and others who do the same are potentially preventing someone else from getting the device they want and maybe having to settle for a different colour / capacity... it just doesn't seem right.

That said, I hope you manage to figure out which device to keep.. and I hope it all works out :)
