Time to renew my sim only contract with EE, and the best I recall seeing in previous pages was:

2000 min
Unlimited texts
5 Gb
£11.99 (12 month contract)

Anyone managed to get a better deal than this?
Thanks in advance.

Day booked off. I work from home so probably don't need to, but then again want to be able to spend some alone time with the phone when it arrives.

Don't judge me.

Me and the Mrs have next Friday off work for our phones lol!!!!

No judgement here mate

I'm with endsleigh and its only £50 for replacement and £100 for the year

AppleCare is £109 and £50 something excess I think? Also on the spot replacement. I'll go that way I think personally

Never damaged my phones in the past. I possibly would have got Applecare before but not it has gone up to £109. It seems quite excessive especially when you have to pay a £50 excess. But I do think that screen replacements will cost a lot more this year. Hopefully this year won't be the year I break my phone.

I assume this is only if you're trying to renew your contract?

If you find anything like that please drop a link in here, best I've seen with EE is £13.99 (12 months) for 2000 mins, unlimited texts and 2GB data. I've been looking for a deal around £15 with as much data as possible.

I posted this earlier in the thread:

Just got 2 of the Spigen Ultra Hybrid cases in the post (ordered on Amazon when they were 99p each). They're definitely not old stock; the packaging says 'for iPhone 6s/6' and the cases have the new style buttons that aren't flush with the rest of the case. I believe the iPhone 6 cases had flush buttons.

Here is a review of the old case (skip to 1:27):
And here is the Amazon listing for the new case: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B010MVJS1I

Look at the difference in the buttons. Instead of creating a new listing for the new case, it appears they've just changed last year's - so all the reviews are from last year's case too.

Does your normal insurance give you on the spot repair/replacements?

That's the real USP of AC+ for me.
O2 doesn't give you an on the spot replacement unless it's been lost, stolen or had liquid damage.

I prefer carrier insurance because it covers you for everything not just damage or device failure outside of the warranty period.

I think the bonus of apple care plus is the on the spot replacements and better customer service.

Apple Care for me is personally a rip off! Last year I bought it and although prices were better then, now they're just silly! £109 for the product, up from £79. And they've also upped the excess from £55 to £79!!!!

Those deals are most likely exclusive to people who are renewing with EE, you're not going to find something like that if you're wanting to join EE as a new customer. If you're renewing then call EE and just voice that you're a loyal customer and wanted to know if they can offer you any deals.

Cute! Just got this through the post. (Sweets included in the package) :D

Erm....I ordered this case and it has the same style buttons as shown in the video? But the front of the packaging has a gold sticker saying "Compatible with iPhone 6S Plus/6 Plus"

Now a bit uncertain if it's going to fit?

Based on past years, will Apple Stores have stock of cases on launch day? I've got a reservation so would rather buy a case in store than order online as I'll be there..

Well they certainly have their cases. Don't know about 3rd party though

Does anybody know if the official Apple leather cases for the iPhone 6 Plus fit the iPhone 6S Plus? This is last years cases not these years.

err... no! This would be ideal for me, can you post a link?

BTW: EE advertise prices without VAT, so this'll probably be £15 inclusive.

But you'll be wishing you had it to get an on the spot replacement of something happens though right?

It's a gamble like any insurance.

Me, I like to be safe in the knowledge that I smash/submerge my phone, I can get an in the spot replacement.

If people are happy to pay less and wait a week or more to get theirs repaired/replaced, then that's cool too.

The other thing that I don't like/want is my phone going away for repair if I did something to it and it coming back repaired by a non Apple repairer and I then have a genuine warranty issue that Apple won't honour because it's been opened up and has had non Apple parts fitted.

That to me is not worth the risk of not buying Applecare.

Just my 0.02p worth.

Reserved my phone for release day on Saturday and got an email.

Is it safe to cancel my delivery order even though there's nothing on my apple store account page about a reservation?

When should we expect the Preparing for Shipment status change?
I preordered on the DE website with delivery on the 25th.

I would say next Tuesday/Wednesday if the phones are in the UK. If they are coming from China I would say late this week sometime. But I am just guessing
