You should be. Suspect that's a cell site with plenty of spare bandwidth.

Click on carrier and it will flip if volte is active

You actually just need to open settings - general - about and a carrier profile check will be done.

Misunderstood your message. Sorry!

Unless my local mast at home is playing up then mines dropped! It's been fine ever since the update to Beta 2 travelling hundreds of miles and kept switch to 4G as it should but it's stopped now :(

Edit: Toggled airplane mode and it's latched on to 4G now, taking that as an anomaly as it's been perfect otherwise

Three 26.0 is only available with iOS 10.1 developer beta 2 (out Tuesday) and iOS 10.1 public beta 2 (out tonight).

iOS 10.0.2 uses Three 25.1 and iOS 10.1 developer and public beta 1 use Three 25.5.

From my own experience it would seem only Three 26.0 offers a fix.

Well I can say with a fair amount of confidence after a couple of days worth of testing

It's fixed in Carrier Update 26.0 :)

@KooL BeAnZ - Maybe do an edit on your first post so new people know when coming here?

Can we 100 percent confirm this yet? The testers on here have had a few glitches which they were hoping wasn't the update but can't be guaranteed yet surely? You even had to toggle airplane mode. Fingers crossed it is a fix though.

By the way, I am sure this issue is linked to the GPS problem some people on here are getting. It is confirmed that the Verizon issue messes up the GPS and phone signal, so I am guessing the Three network is doing the same thing. I cant do a run on ismoothrun and export it to smashrun without it getting GPS errors and messing around with my miles per hour.

I'm on 10.1b2 (Three 26.0) and has mostly solved the problem for me too. However I also had a drop yesterday which I had to solve by toggling airplane mode, which at least is much better than having to restart the phone or toggle carrier automatic detection.

I've got into work in an area where 4G is prevalent but I notice I'm still on 3G at the moment. So I'm going to hold back from giving a 100% assurance all is fixed. Yesterday was certainly better but the fact my iPhone has not gone back up to 4G now I'm at work is interesting to say the least.

i have not updated to beta and carrier is still on 25.1 but its now connecting to 4g fine since last couple of days

I've been getting 4G for about 48 hours now, am on 25.5.

Interesting. I wonder if the problem is actually a cellular network issue rather than a hardware/software issue and the release of the new carrier profile timing was coincidental to a network fix at Three's end?

Be interesting to monitor those over the next few days or so.

Mine remains on 3G incidentally. I'm not rebooting or forcing it. It should click back to 4G automatically

+1 for Beta 2/Three 26.0, all seems to be switching as expected. Only thing I've noticed is that signal seems to be weaker indoors on my 7+. My wife's old iPhone 5 can pick up 2 bars of Three 4G at home whereas my 7+ is always on 5 dots 3G.

One thing to bear in mind is that once it's all fixed it doesn't mean that you'll never drop down to 3G. Sometimes you will still flip - although in theory in one location/place with 4G signal it should be the exception as opposed to the rule it appears to be with 10.0.1/10.0.2 and 25.1....
