If it's a coincidence I'll be amazed lol

I'm getting another 7+ today which obviously won't be on the beta or carrier 26.0 so I'll test it out and report back :)

That will be great thanks. If it is the beta helping I will install it on mine.

iOS 10.1 Beta 2 with Three 26.0 running ok for me for the last 4 hours. Tho some of the temporary fixes lasted me 2 days, so I'm not going to be certain until Monday.

Peed off now. Just made an important call and was on hold for 15 mins. Finally got through and spoke to someone and the phone lost signal. It then reverted to 3G so it is obviously this problem that caused it. Ggrrrrr.

Have you installed 10.1 B2 yet? Just curious since some are reporting success both here and on the Verizon thread, although it's probably too soon to tell if it truly fixes all the issues or not.

I think the call thing again is random but frustrating I've made and received 10 calls today always showing 4g. I know this doesn't help but thought I would mention it

For those of us not in the beta programme, is it fair to say that there is currently no ETA for the public release of iOS 10.1, such that that we can all get the new verasion 26 carrier settings?

I would have to say that my 7 does get 4G periodically, but certainly doesn't seem to be as often as I used to see it on my old 6.

10.1 should be this month for public release, I believe.

I'm changing nothing as all going sweetly here. Nothing's really changed apart from the work on the mast yesterday

Ok,

So I had all the past iPhones and ever since I was able to get 4G, my phone would always pick it up at least while I was at home, anywhere in the house or while at work, wherever I was in the building.

My last phone was a 6S Plus which I had since launch and likewise, no issues whatsoever.

My new iPhone 7 Plus however, I have only for the briestfest of moments seen it on 4G. The rest of the time, it is solidly stuck on 3G.

Things I have tried:

Go to settings and then "about" and waited a good 5 minutes and I can confirm I have the latest carrier settings.

I have reset network settings, phone has rebooted and still on 3G.

I have confirmed 4G is enabled in the settings under carrier for voice and data. I have also switched it to just data and waited - still only 3G.

I have restored the phone and re-loaded my backup - still on 3G.

I have restored the phone and set it up as blank/new phone - still on 3G.

I have this morning gone to the carrier and swapped out a sim for another - still on 3G.

*Now none of these worked*

Anyone else with a 7/Plus having issues?

My network here in the U.K. is "3".

Either something weird is happening with the new phones or I guess my phone needs changing, which is weird because if its connecting to data and also to 3G - why wouldn't 4G work

Any ideas?

iOS 10.1 beta 2 Three 26.0. 7+ still on 3G and has been all day I've been at work. Checked every so often and not once has it been back to 4G. I work in a 4G area. I turned off 4G in the end and turned back on again and instantly went to 4G. So I'm suggesting this isn't sorted yet at all. Maybe better but not right.

Poo. I've just downloaded the beta too.

I spoke to soon. So I had 4g everywhere for the last day and a half and then mysteriously disappeared. Manually set network and then back to automatic and 4g again

Looks like doesn't make a difference anyway.

Yeah, reports have been mixed. I'm a Verizon customer here in the US, but I've been following this thread along with the Verizon thread very closely for several weeks. I've sent my telephony logs to Apple, opened numerous tickets with Verizon and just installed the Beta 2 today. Hopefully it helps at least somewhat (if not a total fix).

On a separate note I have noticed on occassion that my iPhone 7 screen stays on for long periods, just wondering if ios10 is stable or glitchy

Friday update:-

10.1b2 Three 26.0

7+ was rigidly sticking to 3G this morning but having now made it to work I notice it's switched to 4G without any manual intervention on my part. Given yesterday it refused steadfastly to get to 4G this is all very peculiar.

I don't understand why peoples phones are not lasting long on 4g. Mine lasts for days before it reverts to 3G.
It seems to be about travel.

If im at home then I can get a good 2 days where it sticks to 4G. If im driving about it will often loose the 4G and then wont come back until a reboot.
