Obviously still having problems with the 4g connect etc. But this works for me every time. Manually select network leave for 2 mins switch to automatically connect to network, power off and power on and voila. Hope this helps someone

You shouldn't have to power off and on. Mine worked by switching to manual then auto.

i find turning 4G off, waiting for iPhone to find a 3G network, then turning 4G back on solves it without having to turn iPhone off.

Apple rang me again today to see if I'm still having trouble. I said yes but I can't be bothered to talk to them anymore about it. So many wasted hours and messing around, it's got me nowhere, so don't see the point.

He said he would ring back tomorrrow to discuss a replacement but again, what's the point? I know a replacement won't solve my issue. And I know they'll tell me to send my phone off as an Apple Store is too far away when I don't drive.

I don't get 3G inside my home and had to reboot the phone again this morning once I was in a 4G area. It's getting more and more frustrating, especially when I read that the carrier update / beta doesn't provide a permanent fix for everyone. I didn't expect this after paying the best part of £1k.

Beta still seems to be working well... To the point where I'd almost forgotten about this thread. Just seems back to normal now (it was very bad beforehand)

Agreed, miles better on the beta, not quite perfect but not far off!

I'm on three 25.1..I'm in a good 4g area at work and on my iPhone 6 the 4g was fantastic..on my 7 plus the 4g is crap still..infanct it's dog crap

Beta 2 on 26.0 seems a mixed bag for me. It'll pick up 4G without toggling but sometimes the 4G is non functional and I have to kick it to 3G, but my other iPhone on three has fine 4G connection.

New beta, lets see if it makes any difference...

Ironically even though I've got 4G speeds of 105meg here, because I haven't got wifi I can't get it until I'm home lol wish there was an option to allow over cellular for people on unlimited plans!

Agreed. I too would like the facility to enable unlimited downloads for software updates and apps. Annoying that app downloads and software updates are wifi only.

Modem Firmware updated to 1.01.13 in Beta 3.... up from 1.01.11 in Beta 2.

Well I've got no 4g on my new £720 iPhone but at least the battery dident blow up like the Samsungs..

Of course we can't discount the fact that Three might be tinkering with their network in various parts of the country and thus for no other reason than a temporary engineering issue, 4G might be down through no fault of anyone's other than Three. I had a text the other week informing me of work in my area for example for a day or two.

My iPhone 7 seems to be behaving again now and to be fair I'd say it was behaving in the couple of days before beta 3 arrived too.

Considering calling up today... paying for 4G and not getting it. Shouldn't be out of the question to have the disservice reflect our next bill(s)

Good luck with that. I don't think any network promises to give you 4G and I suspect you are paying for a cellular service as offered, not specifically being told you'll get 4G. After all if you lock yourself in a lead lined room you won't get any service but you can't sue them for breach of contract.

I understand your frustrations but provision of service contracts are very carefully worded to ensure it's nigh on impossible to win.

Indeed - three made a big point of NOT charging explicitly for 4G unlike some of the other networks

I have a 7 128GB and aside from the first day I got it, I haven't been on 4G once. Hugely poor compared to my 6. However instead of returning it I'm expecting an update to resolve it. Hopefully.

Other than a couple who at outset wanted to charge an extra fiver or something for 4G, I don't think anyone specifically charges for 4G now. You pay for a cellular service at whatever level can be provided.

Have tested my phone this morning. So the only thing I did was switch it on and off and 4g reconnected
