Haven't decided what to do yet tbh
I would download the 10.1 public beta first and see if this improves things. As lost of us have stated the beta is miles better. This is a software fault so exchanging your phone won't do anything so unless you are giving up on the iPhone 7 there is not much point.

There is the slight possibility that your iPhone is faulty and it isn't related to the software problem but until you try the beta you won't know.

Cheers for the advice was seriously thinking I've just getting the 6s again
[doublepost=1476448222][/doublepost]On the beta software do banking apps etc work as normal ? Sorry if it's a stupid question but never done beta before

Really wish I had a crystal ball that would tell me when the proper release of 10.1 was going to be available as I'm getting fed up with my 7 struggling to hold 4G. :(

I know I could sign up to the Beta Programme and update my phone right now, but I'm loathe to do that. My understanding is that if I did that, any backup taken whilst on the newer beta version couldn't then be used if I decided to go back to the older/current "proper" release version, whatever that is at the time.

From the beta website:

"When iTunes prompts you to restore all of your information from a previous backup, choose the iOS backup that you created in iTunes before you installed the iOS public beta. Then select "Continue" and iTunes restore your device."

No issues with the lloyds and Natwest apps. The apps tend to look for if you're running a jailbreak or rooted phone. The beta works fine

I say it will be in the next month. They promised the 'bokeh' effect as "coming later this year" during the keynote

That's correct, you archive a backup before installing the beta, and then if you want to go back you would restore to the archived backup not any backups you made on the beta. However if you keep the beta until 10.1 is released it isn't really a problem, and the beta is very stable and all my apps, banking or otherwise, work fine on it. You could always try installing the beta for a couple of days when your phone is not critical too you if you are very concerned and then if the beta is problematic roll back before you need your phone again properly - if that makes sense.

I suppose my biggest worry is losing iMessages and WhatsApp messages but as long as I back up this should be fine. Right ?

I don't know about whatsapp but I presume it is connected to your account and backed up separately so it shouldn't be a problem. However for iMessages and health data and things like that you may loose them if you roll back to an archived backup, but if you are signed into your account on another idevice like an iPad then ypur iMessages should still be on there.

Yes, completely get what you mean, but think I'll just wait it out for the time being. I know restoring from backups is good, but it still invariably ends up needing a fair bit of tinkering/fettling to get things back to exactly how they should be. It's not as if the phone is unusable or anything, it's just very annoying to know that it isn't performing as well as it should be.

Currently in a 4G area and it can't hold it for more than a few seconds. Also takes a lot longer to reboot than usual now (doesn't bring 4G back though). This handset needs replacing. Only I'm about to fly out of the country and will be past 30 days when I return. Apple have been fobbing me off for nearly 3 weeks now.

I upgraded to the beta version, it seems to have resolved the issue entirely for me, and all my previous WhatsApp conversations were still there and working fine. In fact I've not found any apps that haven't worked fine.

Not sure you have the same problem as in the thread. If you choose the network manually and then flip it back to auto it should be back to fully working 4G. Although how long for who knows. Does that not work for you?

Yes I have the same issues as posted in this thread , and as many other people have been posting their speeds I was just showing my current speed at work.

Not having brilliant speeds elsewhere but for the city centre these are shocking.

Yes this happened to me on Bluetooth on my Citroen they could hear me but I couldn't hear them and it seems just to connect to Bluetooth when it feels like it lol

Bluetooth is definitely an ongoing issue even in iOS 10.1 PB3.

It seems to take a while to pick up Siri and/or freezes the audio until I switch off the car (late 2008 Ford Fiesta so nothing fancy).

As for 4G I did notice (on o2) that 10.0>10.0.2 once I made/received a call it stuck on 3G unless I left it a while or did a soft reset.

Seems to stay on 4G now in 10.1 and speeds are much faster than they were on my 6s Plus using Vodafone UK.

Got my iPhone 7 yesterday!

Yeah strange how some people get the problem and others don't .. I'm on o2 and mine works perfectly just like my old 5s always has, yet it's mentioned above others having problems on o2 and iPhone 7.

It's the same with the iOS 10 standby battery drain .. not everyone has it!

I am definitely going to the Apple Store tomorrow where I purchased the phone from on launch day. Will report back what they say

I started using my Three SIM card roaming in Austin, Texas and it would never pick up a 4G signal (not sure if it's supposed to), only 3G with AT&T and T-Mobile.

Today, I've been using my phone in all over Austin with a local AT&T SIM card and not once has my signal droppped from LTE.

You only get 3G when roaming. You can't get 4G.

Sorry if this is a bit late for the discussion, only just started reading it. If you are getting fobbed off by Three, send an email to the Chief Executive's email address (can be found via a google search.) I previously had a problem with three and was getting no where through the normal channels. I sent an email to the chief execs email address and a few days later had contact with someone from his team. They got proper answers and solved my problem quickly. So may be worth a try on this issue.

So been to the Apple Store this afternoon. They admitted it is a known problem with 3 and the iPhone 7 as one of the staff is on 3 network and said there was no fix yet. I decided to downgrade to the 6s. Everything running sweet now

I still don't understand why it doesn't effect everyone on three though. Some people are saying they have no problem. (Not using the beta either)
