Just got into work in central London and picked up 4G in my office which I haven't had recently. However the speed I'm getting isn't great....

Hasn't fixed the issue. Usual good 4g after the reboot but once it goes to 3g it will just stay there. Fine if you don't move from one area to another.

At work. Made a phone call on my iPhone. immediately dropped to 3G for voice call as usual. When I next looked at my iPhone it was showing 4G so it had automatically gone back. Which is good.

However now just instigated another voice call. Dropped to 3G as normal and around 90-120 seconds later went back to 4G. I'll try and see how long that lasts today.

Unbelievably frustrating experience with my 7 plus. My problem started about a week after installing 10.0.2. Didn't notice any problems until then, but for the last two weeks the phone goes to Edge in places it was reliably 4G with my SE and 6. It only seems to get 4G in VERY specific locations e.g. by a window at the top of my house or right by a mast near work. If I move literally 1 foot in any direction from those spots it stops loading data.

3G doesn't load data either, even when it shows full bars.

So far I've upgraded to all 4 betas, and down to 10.0.3 and I'm not seeing any improvement.

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhhhhhh!!!!

Three seem to think 10.0.3 has fixed the issue, not good! I've responded and advised that this definitely isn't the case

well.. picked up 10.0.3 and it rebooted from a solid 3G signal into 4G. So lets see how long this sticks for!
edit I am on Three with an iPhone 7 128GB - jsut dialed voicemail and it jumped back to 4G within 10 seconds. Good start!!

Have you tried a speedtest to see what kind of speeds you're getting on 4G? If I reboot then I apparently have 4G but get download speeds of 2/3 MBPS

yeah.. but you have to bear in mind, 4G speeds will be really dependent on the environment you're physically in and also the number of people in the cell. Also... ahem.. I'm in Maidenhead today so I'd expect a pretty good signal and bandwidth :)

I've been having these 4G issues with 3 as well. The 4G dropping seems to have been fixed, but I really don't think I should be getting these speeds in the middle of Newcastle...

10.0.03 seems to have fixed the issue for me, getting 4G when expected and changing to/from 3G ok.

I used to show 4G in my office, but couldn't actually ever get any data to send/receive, without disabling and forcing onto 3G. I'm now happily browsing away in the office on 4G

Just updated to 10.0.3 and so far, so good. 4G at home which was rare on the 6S and 4G at work constantly. A little too long to fix IMO but glad it *should* now be it.

Edit: I'm at work where there is full 4G VoLTE and I'm stuck on 3G. No change
You won't get on the 4g supervoice (VoLTE) band unless you have no 3G signal. This is by design by three - 3G always takes priority over this band because it has such low bandwidth and their aim is to use it to increase overall coverage rather than to replace 3G.

10.0.3 worked for most of the day, now I'm back to 3G and it won't switch to 4G

Switching the Carrier from Auto to Manual to Auto still has the desired affect.

Mine has stayed with 4G other than for calls today so far.

Ok so got into work where 4g speeds have been rubbish ( supervoice area ) still only getting around 2mbps down and 0.3 up when indoors , 3-5 Mbps outside.
Not long after running Speedtest it dropped back to 3G and has stayed there , so no this update has not fixed the issue

I just got back form a 4G area where it was sitting on 3G before the iOS update and can confirm that it has fixed the issue for me. It stays on 4G and drops back to 4G after making a call. All is good again for me. YMMV.

Not working. It will stay on 4G as before if you don't move around but once you move to another area it will switch to 3G and stay there.

I went from 4G at my house. All fine and then along the m1 for 30 miles and didn't get 4g again. Even when home where I know it is as the wife's 6 is merrily on it and was for parts of the journey.

Update to 10.0.3, still the same! I have to restart my iphone 7 plus more 20times a day to get 4G back, Im a driver in london, so i move a lot!

Try settings - mobile data - mobile data options - enable 4G - off

Await your iPhone to lose data signal then reconnect probably at 3G level. Then do above again but selecting voice & data. In my experience within 2 minutes if there is a 4G signal it will connect to it without the need to power down and on again.
