UK New iPad Thread.

Two payments one order

I was adding posts on here last night whilst trying to order my iPad I had the same problem getting through although on first attempt it took me to last stage and give me the ooops message, now what has happend is iv got my order which is in my order history but they have taken another payment which isn't, I don't want need 2, I rang Santander and they confirmed two payments have been taken by apple and gave me the transaction codes to get my money back for one, just have wait till thee open at 8 now. Has anyone else had same problem?
 
Ordered my 32GB black wifi only model just now. A bit disappointed that AppleCare+ isn't available in the UK, but there's nothing i can do about that
 
I ordered around 30 minutes ago on my university site. Still waiting on my confirmation email, but it let me check out, so I presume it all worked fine.
 
just ordered a black 16Gb Wifi only for delivery on launch day.

Checked out OK but been waiting 30 mins so far for confirmation e-mail. How long do they typically take to come through?

Very excited as this will be my first iPad!
 
It took an hour or so for confirmation email, strange thing is for me is nothing about the first payment has shown in emails or apple account, the payment that shows is the successfully one, just want apple to confirm they made a boo boo and give me the money back for the one that has a error , however my bank has said either way I have proof in form of transaction codes so I wil l100% get money back, I'll post again later to let people know in similar situation how easy difficult apple make it.

Mine came through approx. 1 hour after placing the order! If nothing comes through check your account on the Apple Store and it will give you a full run down there plus you can print your invoice as well HTH :)
 
Just got my confirmation email. Took about 3 and a half hours to come through.

Hope mine delivers on 16th. Since I'm in Northern Ireland, sometimes it can take a day longer and the 17th is a bank holiday :(
 
After several failed attempts at midnight, I woke up at 8am and managed to order a black 32GB wifi model with ease. Funds have been reserved in my account, just waiting for the confirmation email now. Wooo!
 
Managed to order a 64gb Black Wifi at 12:30am this morning through the Apple Store App. Received confirmation email at 2am, so keeping my fingers crossed for a March 16th delivery.

For past Apple products I have queued up for hours, so thought I would take it easy this year and go down the delivery route. Fingers crossed it pays off! :)
 
hmm, tried ordering 4 times last night on the website and got Order Error messages 4 times.

Then gave up.

Woke this morning to find an order conformation email for 1 new iPad.

I just preordered a white 32GB Wi-Fi, decided I don't need 3G as I just don't use it, and because I can just tether my iPhone to it:)

Managed to order a 32GB Wifi in Black last night around 23:55.

Lets hope are "New iPads" have a smooth delivery.

Roll on the 16th March.

Just ordered white 32GB Wi-Fi, I did have a 1st gen iPad Wi-Fi + 3G but just didn't use the 3G enough, I can tether my iPhone to my iPad if I needed to.

Let's keep each other upto date on the status of our orders.

Just received my confirmation email 2 hours after purchase. Decided to go for the 32GB wifi - wanted the 64GB but I'm on a budget. The 16GB just seems too small now that apps will have retina graphics.
 
Managed to get my one (black 64GB Wifi) at 1:30 am through the Apple Store IOS app after I had given up after using Safari, Chrome & Firefox to attempt the purchase. Got the confirmation email and delivery is expected for the 16th :)
 
Ordered at about 23:58 last night and just checked that the email confirmation arrived into my inbox at 00:42.

The iPhone 4S pre-orders arrived on launch day in Northern Ireland, I would be very surprised if the iPad orders didn't. I would definitely plan to be at home that day ;)
 
Just ordered a white 16gb wifi, using the apple store app on the 4S. I'm at work justnow and gad been trying since last night to get onto the sute. Even at 5am this morning, still couldn't get through to the checkout page without ut crashing. But all done now, just awaiting my confirmation email, roll on next friday, i've been without an ipad for about a month and i'm missing it.
 
Ahh bugger, just tried ordering a 64gb 4g for my dad and it seems like their running low as it won't add to my basket!
