I've been tracking on expo.expeditors and it looks like I have an estimated delivery of 2pm on Tuesday, 3 days before the actual estimate. Woohoo!

Nice one, mine dispatched at about 14:18 today and also says 'on or before 17th'. If you get yours the 14th, I guess I can expect the 15th :)

So my order was despatched more than 48 hours ago and yet it still says 'no data available' on the expo.expediters website...

EDIT: Nevermind, I was using the wrong code -,-

Placed my order at 3pm on 8th August after giving up on the refreshed iMacs.

Retina MacBook Pro, specs:
- 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
- 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
- 768GB Flash Storage
- 27inch Thunderbolt Display

Still Preparing for Shipment, delivery not estimated till 22-24th August :(

Also, should I be worrying about whether I get an LG or Samsung screen? Seen a bit of hooha in the threads about it?

Why worry about it? Nothing you can do to influence it anyway.

Does the exp.o website say delivery estimated for Tuesday? That just means it will be delivered to the merging facility on Tuesday - or if you're not getting a gift card it will be delivered to UPS on Tuesday. You will get a tracking number from UPS when they receive and will get the laptop a day or two later.

Sure there is... If one is superior to the other I can return and request a replacement...

Why, so you can return the new one if that too has an LG screen? If there wasn't so much aggro about this Samsung LG business no one would be one the wiser. Ive heard so many people say they've received beautiful LG screens. I for one don't give a rats ass if I get one or the other, i just want my rMBP!

The reviews I've read by professional companies, the LG is far superior to the Samsung, IPS is only used by LG, Samsung have a slightly copied inferior screen manufacturing process.

I actually didn't mention LG or Samsung, I just said one appears to be superior to the other. And yes. When I pay over £3,000 for a piece of equipment I quite rightly expect the best bang for my buck.

When you use the exp.o.expeditors.com link, does the "requested deliverey date" mean deliverey to your house or to a cuorris like UPS? Mine states the 14th August, however Apple stated 17th august... It is "In transsit" at stanstead airport, London...

EDIT: after reading other posts, it seems Tuesday is deliverey to UPS... I hope they use 24 hours service so I get it Wednesday :)

So let's say you get your rMBP, and it's got an LG screen (like mine does) and there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with it (again, like mine)... you're going to return it again and again until you get a Samsung one?

It says 'requested delivery date'. Dammit! It's currently at Heathrow, not cleared for import. Bloody weekends!

Of course not, I will just be vigilant and should a problem arise I will know that other people have experienced the same thing, so if Apple try any funny business they won't convince me it's something I've done.

Still not really something to "worry about" though, is it?

If there's a problem, there's a problem, regardless of which panel manufacturer you happen to end up with.

Just like the ghosting issues. Will never understand why people specifically go looking for it. If you notice it and it interferes with your enjoyment of your laptop then there's a problem. If you have to go hunting, then why is it an issue?
