My status has changed to In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule but hasn't given me any additional tracking info. Apart from UPS who do apple use for delivery?

Same - status updated on apple site to in transit to customer. However, expo shows its still awaiting customs clearance.

Same here apple have changed the status to In Transit to Customer but I don't have any additional tracking. I have checked UPS, UKMAIL, fedex and Syncreon but no joy with the numbers I have

On the expo site? Yea I see that too in the first tab, but the 2nd tab has "requested delivery date 21st" still. Hopefully the 19th is correct and apple will accept delivery and not turn them away sayin "we're too busy, come back on the 21st" :/

EDIT:
Mojo, did you order any accessories? I ordered a dvi adapter and dvd drive - hoping that this wont delay the order!

Mine's a 2.6GHz\512GB\8GB with a TB->VGA adapter and student gift card. I ordered within an hour of the store coming up last Monday (5-7 day shipping)

It seems people that ordered at the same time as us, but are living in the US are getting there rMBP about now, getting sick of waiting now, lol

Mine just arrived this morning!

Ordered when the apple site came back up - initial estimate was for 22nd or 25th but it was out for delivery this morning!

Only special thing I did was order mine with a US keyboard, cos I hate the lack of # on the UK ones...

I'm starting to think someone at Heathrow has forgotton about our box! It's sitting there waiting for clearance still :(

I don't see how Apple messed up the stocking of this product so bad. No stores have them, taking weeks for online orders. I mean look at the iPad 3, somehow they managed to make millions and there was no wait time at all.

I ordered Sunday 17th, expected delivery 17-26 July! Wtf at the upper limit that's almost 6 weeks? Someone has ****ed up somewhere cause there's no way in hell that many people had over £2000 ready to splash on a new laptop!

Or maybe the economy isn't in a bad shape after all and the news has been a lie the last four years....

Got it!!

Wow, was due yesterday but turned up at 11am this morning!
Amazing screen, internet needs updating now though :(

Agreed, it's bad. Could this be the Browett effect?

I ordered last Tues evening - 24 hours after they went on sale - and it had gone out to 2-3 weeks even then

I just keep hoping that Apple are being very conservative with their dates and that everything will move forward. I'm encouraged by the fact that those who are receiving theirs now appear, in many (most?) cases, to be getting them several days early.

One cause of the long lead-times may be due to the soldered in RAM and non-user upgradeable SDDs. This means that the RAM has to be added when the logic board is made, and the SDD installed before the case is closed. If both were user-upgradeable then the machines could have been pre-assembled with empty RAM and SSD slots and just the access panel/door left off, meaning they could have RAM and SSD added and packed really quickly.

Its hard to believe that Apple could of thought the Retina MBP's wouldn't sell as much as the regular MBP. But that's the thing is if your gonna spend that sort of cash on a laptop you'd be a fool not to save up that extra cash and go for the retina. Just my opinion anyway.

I do recall the iPad 3 being out of stock for 2-3 weeks but stock did turn up a little quicker then the retina MBP's are.

I'm gonna wait till next month to buy a retina as I have some other things to pay for first. But If I was ready to buy I'd be right with you guys and would of ordered straight after the apple store went back up.

Mine says it's going to be dispatched between the 16th to the 20th of July but as others are getting theirs early hopefully my order will slowly creep forward once they have caught up with demand.

Option-3 on a UK keyboard isn't it?

Yep - But I'm a programmer, so I write things like #import a lot, and let me tell you, its a lot more painful reaching for the Alt than it is the Shift ;)

Also the stretched return key is much nicer (though it screws you up when you go back to a UK keyboard)

"19-Jun-2012 11:50:00 GMT Import Customs Release"
YUS!

It looks like the number in the 'remarks' field is the customs entry number

Woohoo! However, going on someone's post above, it looks like apple will get it on the 21st. Then it'll go out to us. I think apple's estimated delivery date to me in n.ireland of 25th is looking very spot on :(

Mine arrived at about 1 PM today, typing this with it now, so far very pleased with it.

I'm still concerned about the PSU issue - you know the one that the previous models have had issues with. If the MBP is drawing too much power and the PSU can't cope, it'll use the battery to top up the power. If this is sustained, the battery can be depleated even though the MBP is plugged in.

Can you test this with your Retina? Do something to max out the CPU & GPU (maybe play diablo 3?) and see if power is drawn from the battery. Maybe check it after an hour. Check to see if the battery is still 100%.

You'd put my worries to rest if you did this, thanks! :)

Just played Dirt 2 on it whilst charging the battery, played it for about 10 minutes and the battery continued to charge whilst I was playing.

Fans however were quite loud while playing the game. Took some video with my iPhone I can upload if anyone is interested.

Same for me, either Apple is ****ing with us or those Tracking nunbers from expo were not actually our maschines.
