Apparently "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" doesn't mean that the final carrier has it and just hasn't provided a tracking number yet. I was just told that despite that status my order is still awaiting pickup by a carrier which could be any of TNT, UPS or Syncreon (please no!!).

"Preparing handover to final carrier" to "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" is incredibly misleading. My order is no more "In transit" than it was on the previous status.

I am hoping for the exact same thing!

----------

All my previous orders of which there are quite a few none of them have shipped early and all have come dead on time for the delivery date specified.

I can but hope though this time it will be different.

Hm, have they been in stock models or ones shipped from China? I always find the in stock models which come from Ireland, but models shipped from China are always delivered early. Although I guess this could be down to my local UPS depot who are very good.

I can't remember the exact dates, but I'm pretty sure my iMac and other products have arrived within 1 day of receiving my UPS tracking code in Manchester. Hopefully the same can happen again!

Do you mean you completely finished the order within 15 minutes of the store going up? Payment and everything?

I ordered the 2.3Ghz with 16GB (did you get 2.6?) and I clicked the final button about an hour after the store went up due to confusion over the student gift card and I think mine will be at my door tomorrow. It's currently with the final carrier, but I still don't know who.

You may want to call Apple and ask why yours might be being delayed. 0800 048 0408 if you want to avoid their premium rate number.

Well, 15-30mins yeah. I was fast. 2.3 16GB. That's worrying, I will call them.

EDIT: so I contacted them and they just said it was due to low stock, but they still hoped it would arrive on the date they put (25-27). Still concerned, and also I don't understand why yours is about to arrive when it was ordered after mine! Oh well.

Its possible they fulfilled batches sorted by ordering system. I ordered with an educational discount so it may have just gone into an unfilled batch whereas yours went into the standard ordering system. I guess you were just unlucky :(

My status has changed to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date", but "Delivery Service" is blank. Well done Apple.

Order status just changed:

"Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date"

Estimated date is still the 25th, no tracking number yet

You guys are all very lucky! I have to wait until the 18th July!

What model did everyone order? I really want one but would need to sell my MBP I bought last year first. I got the biggest 13" Spec available. I wonder what it's worth with all it's original packaging.

21st yo!

I ordered late on the 12th and have an estimated delivery date of between the 4th-10th of July. In the past I've had all my deliveries come early so hope its the same again. My order is still processing at the moment. I ordered 2.7Ghz/i7/16GB RAM/512 SSD.

Its a shame Apple only (generally) stock the base versions in store. I'm not getting anxious yet but as soon as it hits 'preparing for shipment' I will be happy!

I just installed the delivery status widget, makes it much easier to check your order without having to log into Apple every time, especially for those of us with a lengthy wait who are wanting to check even though we have no hope of anything changing for a few weeks!
