Does anyone else have a wait like mine? I'm seeing a lot of people getting theirs shipped before me

Just went into the Apple Shop in Bath and they had just took delivery of some 2.6 + 8GB RAM + 512GB Flash and I was sorely tempted to snap one up and cancel my online order but eventually convinced myself that I wanted the 16GB for a reason and to not be too rash....very hard to walk away though.

Re: LH8401 - mine came on the same flight number. It went to Frankfurt and then another flight to London. Once it arrives in Frankfurt, expo will update with another flight number. At least that's what happened to me.

That explains why it shows as a 24 hour flight when it's only 12 hours non-stop. 05:00 SGT tomorrow is 22:00 BST tongiht and it arrives Heathrow 22:00 BST (21:00 GMT) tomorrow

EDIT: So, if the flight doesn't leave until 22:00 BST tonight then there's time for my MBP to catch it ... nah, who am I trying to kid? Bet it stays at Preparing for at least 24 hours

Looks like it's saying the flight number is LH8401, but according to flightaware.com that's a Lufthansa flight from Pudong, Shanghai to Frankfurt via Almaty - wherever the hell that is (Kazahkstan?)

well the page did say it is a lufthansa flight so this might be right.

Hi guys,

Has anybody ordered from a reseller, I ordered mine from my Local Western Computers store, on the 15th, they offered by now pay in 6 months 0% finance, I'm usually flush around that time of the year and it's better than the 14.9% offered.

Anyway I was told a 2-3 week wait but online stated 3-4 weeks.

I ordered the 2.6, 16Gb and 512gb ssd version anyone care to guess when I might get it.

I'm over obsessing now

I think everyone has ordered through the apple store and if any have gone through a reseller it would probably be a buy it right now and walk out with a new laptop not wait 2 to 3 weeks.

It was a BTO, I assure you if they had them in stock I would have it.

I'm pretty sure they order through the apple website, pretty similar to actual apple stores and apple online.

I did exactly the same thing with my 2011 iMac. Western Conputers have few stores I the UK so maybe I'm not the only one in this position.

I think you are right and I guess like everyone else it's now just a waiting game.

Has anyone ever clicked on the 'cancel items' button under the order status by mistake?....I'm assuming you get one of those "are you sure you want to do cancel items" verification windows...be a complete bummer if you don't and you happened to hit that by mistake...why do I ask? Because I nearly did it...doh! :roll eyes:
That's what can happen when you keeping checking that page so frequently..I need to chillax and be patient.

lol - I was wondering about just cancelling the MagSafe adaptor to avoid the extra 2 days delivery due to the merge but was worried that it might set my order back to square one so didn't bother

Yeah, everyone who's posted about the shipment being sent has been that same spec (I think), hence the bunching up of 2-3/3-4 weekers. Lets hope the base leave tomorrow

Mine is a 2.6/16/512... still says "Preparing for Shipping". Oh, and i am a 2-3 weeker...

EDIT: Scratch that. Just took a while to update. Shipped on the 26th. Expected delivery is still 5th July though. Come on... £2k+ on a rMBP. You think you could at least DHL it to me properly Apple.

Not sure. Mine says the same for the MagSafe adaptor. My tracking page also shows an Additional Order Number - but there's no link to show what's on it. Perhaps it's an internal order no. ?

Yes. I have an additional order number too. I don't know why I'm worrying. It's not going to be here by Thursday and then I'm on holiday for a week! (delivery to work). Oh well. Something to look forward to at work when I get back...

Hmmm, while the online tracker says 5 Jul delivery, the confirmation e-mail says "on or before 4 Jul"

If you look on the References tab on the expeditors.com page you see a list of Purchase Order Numbers. Mines the top one ending 969 which is the lowest. Does that mean it missed the previous flight (tonight) by 1 ????
