Its only 10:30, I've been back half an hour and have jumped up about 15 times every time a car/van goes past. This is horrible!
So after three hours of apparently touring my city, it's arrived back at the depot again. Maybe I won't be getting it today

Interesting factoid for you; my rMBP boots up in less than half the time my iPhone 4S does - ~15 secs against ~35 secs

Thought I'd drop my details into this thread too, so, hey everyone.
Ordered to Belfast on 18th June - 2.3/8GB/256 base model. Still currently sitting at 'Processing', 3-4 week estimate, so 16th-20th July delivery estimate. Cannot wait for this to change to 'Preparing for Shipment', I've been refreshing the page every hour!

How are you finding it so far?
I ordered mine on the 18th as well and it went to Preparing for Shipment yesterday and still is today. Anyone know how long it takes to move from this to being shipped?
I'm lucky to have a really nice chap at Apple taking care of my order. Everytime I write him an e-mail he calls me back 10min later and did everything possible to bump my order up the queue! Can't wait!
There's always someone trying to push their way to the front of the queue lol... be careful now everyone will want this poor guys name!
Amazing. The screen is just something else. To try and quantify it, viewing this forum in Safari I can zoom out all the way yet I can still read the text easily at normal viewing distance - and my eyesight is not perfect by any means
I've also not noticed any of the lag etc. that people have been moaning about in Safari, but then I have installed the mega-update (>1GB) which, amongst other things, addresses graphics issues
You lucky son of a...most people who contact Apple, myself included, are simply getting told 'you have to be patient, demand is high'. What model did you order?
As jealous as I am...congrats =) usually it seems to take 2 days to go from 'preparing' to 'shipped'. Hope yours arrives soon!

From what I've seen in the other thread, this is incredibly out of the ordinary. I won't pester anyone, be it Alexduff or his contact at Apple - if everyone starts contacting the guy, it can't end good.
I had a quick play with one at my local(ish) apple store and the display blew me away with how clear and sharp everything is and even running at 1920x1200 it still looked sharp to my eyes.

I asked this before and from looking at earlier posts and some direct answers it appears to be about 2 days, then about another 7 days to come through your door. This is not first hand experience as I am waiting on mine also (ordered 25th June)

Its arrived, all I can say is. Wow. The screen is something else.
I got the base model, already starting to have second thoughts on the 256GB SSD though, had a shock when I went to copy my iTunes folder over and it weighed in a 215GB! Movies are staying on the external HD I think!
Other than that, I haven't had much chance to test it, but so far its the fastest machine let alone laptop I think I've ever used! Worth the 3 week wait!

I'm in agreement
and the boot time is ultra fast at 15 seconds!
