iPod touch UK order status thread

If you look at your apple status it says shipped via Merge, which is why TNT's site won't work for you - different company.
ABF's site also doesnt work, also I didnt realize merge in transit was a company, I just thought it was that they were gathering the packages together at the depot before shipping them out?

Hey, same here my tracking info isn't working, don't worry your in the same boat as many others. Merge in transit simply means that your package will be merging with another once it reaches a certain destination. Like my imac will be merging with my touch once it reaches the U.K. I've been told that once packages reach the U.K its very often overtaken by TNT so its worth trying the tracking again on their website for some idea of exactly when it'll be delivered.

Good to know Im not the only one in this situation, as far as I can tell mine is shipping with UPS (or at least I have a UPS tracking number), I also ordered an iMac and iPod Touch.... gr8 minds think alike

John Lewis is showing both the 8GB and the 16GB iPod touch in stock. I ordered the 16GB model, with next day delivery. It will supposedly be delivered on Tuesday. Time will tell.
I would expect you to get it, John Lewis are a good store when it comes to getting things out on time
Wish i had ordered my iMac and iPod Touch from them rather then apple, i've still got another week of waiting for my stuff that was ordered back on the 13th

Don't bother calling TNT they are idiots! I was told my touch would not be here until the 11th and it came on Friday! I was also told it would be delivered before 6pm and then when I called them they said the iPods were delivered in the evenings and it could be with me anytime up until 10pm!
In the end it turned up at 7pm!

I ordered my Touch on the 14th September from the Apple UK online store. It was dispatched a week ago on Saturday and I still don't have a tracking number for it, all it says is "carrier details to be updated shortly". Did anyone else have this problem?
Its estimated delivery day is Thursday, if it doesn't arrive by then I'm tempted to just buy one from Amazon and send that one back to Apple when it (eventually) arrives.

same as me....fingers crossed!!
Mine is the same, it was dispatched last week, the only way i got my tracking number was from logging in to the American site instead of the UK one.
On my tracking Page i still have the "carrier details to be updated shortly" message, which lead me to believe hours not days to update it, mine is due for delivery tomorrow or Wednesday but since i havent even had my tracking info updated i know this is doubtful,
Also an e-mail apple sent me said it would arrive on the 13th-14th of October, but that would be a weekend and my tracking number matches the apples UPS ones and i dont think UPS deliver standard parcels on weekends. I guess we can just wait and see how things work out, if mine doesnt show this week then I will be on the phone to apple asking why
This was my first order from apple directly and will defiantly be my last, they just dont keep you informed and up-to-date on whats going on, the phone staff just look to brush you off and dismiss your problem and there ability to meet delivery dates appears to also be a joke.
same as me although i ordered on the 25th. My delivery date slipped from the 10th to the 11th and it went to shipped status on the 29th and absolutely nothing since.
I wish I was brave enough to order one from somewhere else and return the appe delivered one when it arrived!

I will me mentioning this to them in my angry email/phone call. This is the first and last time I order anything directly from their store. the only reason I did order from there was because of the discount code.
I bought mine on the 14th and it wasnt dispatched until last Thursday. They cancelled my order on the 3rd 'By Accident' so it prolonged delivery further - I have now been quoted 11th October for delivery date!
That sucks - hope you get your kit soon. Once you do get it, though, you'll realise straight away why you keep coming back for more

And, lo, it came to pass. My order is showing as having been dispatched (via City Link, unfortunately). I even got £10 off with a voucher code I found.
I was quite impressed with the service from John Lewis. I ordered delivery specifically for Tuesday. By 4pm, my order was still showing as "processing", so I sent them a quick email asking when it would be dispatched. The JL website says to allow up to 24 hours for a reply, but by 6pm (when I got home), there was already an email waiting for me.
No doubt I will spend a fair bit of time tomorrow hitting F5 whilst pretending to be working.
I know how you feel, I ordered back on the 13th and mine only shipped on the 3rd, where as other people were ordering on the 26th and 27th and have had theres ship and due for delivery this week, but unlike you this is my first apple purchase so if I'm not happy with the goods (when they do finally arrive) then it will also be my last, you would think apple would have shipped the iPods out in order of pre-orders placed but obviously that was just to much hard work and us who have been waiting for "x" amount of weeks can wait that little bit longer...
