iPod touch UK order status thread

Apple & TNT said 'it should be delivered on Thursday', ie, today... however, with this tracking I'm not holding up much hope...

Here at last......

Well they arrived at last.....after finally getting the UPS tracking details from Apple, I discovered the delivery (already shifted from 1-2 Oct to 9-10 Oct) had been pushed further back to 12 Oct! E-mailed Apple Customer Service Rep I had spoken to on the phone, had a rant, and they said they would instruct UPS to deliver on the 11th, and would give me a goodwill gesture. Then, out of the blue, the Touches arrive mid-afternoon yesterday (10th). Nuneaton to Dundee in less than 6 hours......

Worth waiting for? Absolutely - what a piece of kit! Initial sync a bit slow, few issues with Coverflow, but on the internet in less than 20 seconds. Touchscreen is great, re-sizing by 'pinching' works very well.

Overall, Apple have done it again - even if they can't (always) deliver when they say they will. :)
 
Almost

Its out for delivery today from UPS in Swansea, which is about an hour away. Sooo it could be here anytime now. UPS tracking has been great and updated very promptly. 4 more days and will have been a month since I ordered!

At least your tracking number works! All I get is:

UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later

What are UPS's delivery hours, 9-6?
 
What number are you trying to use, im using my order number. The one that starts with a 'W'.

Yeah I've tried that one and the tracking one I got from the Apple.com website. They both say the same thing.

It sounds about normal, what are your estimated dispatch and delivery dates?

If mine isn’t delivered tomorrow i will be past the month barrier, which is a joke but i guess there’s nothing the little guy can do about it but wait.

I get the Same, UPS can deliver from any time from 7AM (doubtful unless its an express+ delivery) right up until about 6:30PM

Both of mine also say the same, i think it will only update once UPS have actually collected your items from the Apple warehouse

Yep thats right, Itll only track with UPS once theyve picked it up and then its only a max of 2 days away anyway... so not a great help really!

I just noticed on my order status that it still says "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" but that was updated today, fingers crossed then. Luckily the Apple sales support line is open till 8pm if I need to shout at them later.

Edit: Woohoo its arrived! Week 38, the box is absolutely tiny!

Congrats m8ty, so was it worth all that waiting? Also did your shipping information update on the apple site?

I just got finished typing a letter of complaint about my experience of ordering from apple, I know nothing will come of it but its nice to just express ones self and let someone else know what you’ve had to go through… well I say someone else but I addressed it to the big cheese himself so will post if i get a reply :)
 
Still couldn't get any info from the UPS site. Just about to set it up just now and begin syncing.

i ordered mine last friday (night) .... just the ipod touch with engraving and gift message... and it was processed on sunday/saturday and ready to ship on monday and shipped on the 9th...

via tnt ... its supposed to arrive tommorow.
 
i hate argos first they changed the delivey date from 28th september to 12th of october now they are changeing it to 15th october im gonna get a refund if it dosent cum by monday

hmm weird ... mine is coming from suzhou to liverpool.

My iPod has engraving and gift message.

Processed by sunday
Ready to ship by monday
Shipped on Tuesday Via TNT international express
Phoned them about 20 mins ago .. they say its getting into liverpool by tonight and frieghted , then should get to my delivery address by 3pm ish

weird since i pretty much ordered mine at the same time as yours ... btw this is from the www.apple.com/ukstore
 
btw have you got the confirmation email from do_not_reply@euroapple or something like that ?

also have you ordered multiple items or just the touch .. if its just the touch it usually comes via TNT :D ... if its multiple items then it goes to a apple warehouse in the UK then goes via UPS

I ordered from apple.com/uk too, i only ordered a touch. And yes i did get the confirmation e-mail, i got that about 10 minutes after i ordered it.

btw mine is going to liverpool .. should arrive 2moz aparently when i called up yesterday.
 
Touch Me !!!

well after all this time itz finally here, i was begining to get worried as it didnt turn up untill about 18.10. But it waz all intact so happy days.

Where to start, the touch is amazing. I'm typing this blog on it right now and loving the touch type. Its so small and the screen size is perfect. Also a week 38 model.

My iMac is stunning, very beautiful and lightning quick. Handbraked feauture length film in only an hour n half (took over a day on my g4).
Dvds look fantastic on it, will happilly answer anyquestions anyone has on either machine!
