iPod touch UK order status thread

I spoke to Apple earlier today and they couldn't tell me anything new, i guess there getting the mother of all shipments together..

Odd that it doesn't seem to affect US orders tho.

even the aussies have them before us and thats unheard of! ;)
 
Still nothing here either, so definitely looks like they're sticking to the quoted dispatch date. I don't see this as a problem... it's kind of funny that people were *expecting* them to ship early as if it was a guaranteed service :)

It could even be late. It does say "estimated". Hopefully they'll ship tomorrow though, and we'll have something to play with next weekend.
 
Argos Update.

The automated phone call I received telling me the delivery would be Friday was a load of rubbish, I contacted Argos again on the phone and was told Apple have not even told them when the stock is due in!

Have you got a tracking number? Do you know where it's being shipped from?

I wouldn't see it as a problem if they hadn't been shipping to their retail stores and authorised resellers first. We all made pre-orders, and as such feel that we have a place in a queue for the touch. If no stores had them yet, there would be no complaints, but when third party retailers have had and sold out, we feel like we're being treated unfairly for making those preorders.
 
Mines been shipped too! Seems ages now since I ordered it. The tracking thing won't work though so can't figure out where it is or anything

Looks like it takes 10-20 mins for your order tracking information to be registered with the tracking website. Mines on it now but it doesn't say where its shipping from (china im certain tho)
 
Doesn't say yet haven't got any tracking data, but seeing as it is shipping now and it's currently 11:50pm in China, it might very well be from UK
 
I ordered on the 5th, at 7pm GMT, and mine just got shipped with TNT. No invoice yet so I don't know what week I'm getting, but we'll see.
