Thanks for the insights.

Can I ask those who are getting "billing info received" with UPS - are you using a UPS number that is 9/10 digits beginning with 8, or the long one starting 1Z ?

With either I get the red error. My Apple order status tracking links, like many others, have turned grey and unclickable.

It is the 1Z number that is the UPS tracking number but like yours, mine and many other peoples are not active...

Billing info received means they haven't picked it up yet, but will be soon.

Hey is the TAY048 flight the one thats delivering iPads to the UK for TNT? Not sure if I'm looking at the right plane as it doesnt seem to be flying. haha.

im not familiar with HK time but its been almost 24 hours since my tracking has been updated!

what we know is that plane is headed for Liege , and another headed for Dubai from there they will be put on another plane/planes and distrubuted throughout europe -

we are unsure so far on what plane will be heading from Liege to the UK my bets on East Mids as destination but as long as they get to the UK before say 02.00 am ish then chances are we may get them out for delivery Wed/Thurs time

some of the chaps here know loads more about flight tracking then i do so keep em peeled for updates

I'm using the 1Z code - I'm also copy/pasting into the UPS website, not clicking any tracking links.

BTW - just to add, when I worked for this company about a year or so ago, UPS had a standard 'if failed delivery attempt, try again next working day'
They had 2 services, a 1 retry service which costs £, and a 3 attempts service which costs more ££. So depending on how generous Apple are, will depending on how many re-tries UPS will deliver.

Don't quote me on that though, it may have all changed since - also knowing Apple, it's probably in the delivery contract that the UPS driver delivers the iPad to you with the package facing upwards with a ballon tied to it, and they are to say nothing more than 'congratulations, sign here'

Right, so the 1Z number it is - still doesn't work for me yet. Ah well, there's plenty of time yet and I'm not going anywhere this week.

UK-bound iPads have arrived in Liege. What next? How do they get to UK from Liege? I don't see any imminent flights. Perhaps high speed rail?+

Just had a thought:(

The iPads might go by lorry from Liege to Northampton.
It would be cheaper, and it would fit with the 27th(which somebody on here appears to have been told).

money has just come out of my credit card !

and from Liege there is a flight to EMA flight FI 741 Iceland air that arives at 03.40 AM

From (LGG) Liege, BE to (EMA) Leicestershire, EN, GB
Duration: 1h 07m
Equipment: Boeing 757-200 Freighter (Scheduled)

thats where my moneys on ;)

They couldn't tell me how it would be getting to the depot, either road or air (our depot is at Liverpool Airport) but they were certain it was going to be the 27th. They did say to call after 10am if it was by air

they will sort at the Hub in East Mids and transport by road to the various delivery hubs up and down the country 27th looks the best date unless apple poke the heads in

Im the ATC supervisor today on the Dover / Seaford / Hurn sectors so I can assure you there are NO ATC delays to prevent anything arriving by air!

No volcanic ash worries either..... :)

Waiting for mine to arrive via TNT UK

mistuk

lol good stuff - you would not get this level of interest in delivery with a Dell :D

I had the TNT please ring message thing and gave them a bell this afternoon. The girl said to expect my delivery on the 27th. I'll believe it if it happens!

Fortunately I'm getting it delivered to our pegs mums house and she's in on both days. If worst comes to the worse and I have to collect nearest TNT depot is only Preston and I rep around there anyway so should get it for the weekend!

Mines not active and it's been two days. It's the one bit of apple's buying experience that isn't very polished. It's been the same for nearly everyone of my apple orders.

It's not rocket science to get the order tracking system to give the correct feedback at the right point.

Some people have mentioned today that they found a "call us" message on their TNT UK status. How long did it take for you guys to see that message from when your iPad first shipped? Also did you use 9 digit tracking number to get that info?

Is it Preston or Leyland? I looked on the website and that was my nearest depot and I am in the Lake District!

Did you get that message using the tracking number that begins with 8023? How long did it take for your status to change to that after your iPad shipped?

To be honest we are lucky we get what we do. You try Royal Mail or Parcel Farce's tracking. You can only check it after you have received and signed for it.

Yeah PR26 so it will be Leyland, have to admit I thought there would be one in Blackpool somewhere but obviously not.

Its in a bit of a weird place looking at it on a map actually. Hopefully I won't be making a trip there. Although on the other hand it'd be an hours skive off work ;)

Hope I dont as its 160 mile round trip!

Still showing as Greece for my code. Where did the delivery date of the 27th come from? Mine still shows on Apple's site as the 28th.
