My status is still stuck at 'In progress'

I called o2 for an update and was informed they have completely run out of stock. I was also informed that they may be getting more stock in around 3 hours time?

I have asked if there is no stock showing by this evening and my order is still pending 'Can I go to a local store to pick one up?'

The o2 rep said I could, and the online order could be cancelled? He also reminded me of the limited availability in store......

Is this all just hype to get more attention on the phone?

I called O2 on Tuesday and the lady said I'm defo getting one on friday between 8AM-9PM so then I rang yesterday and the lady said they are sold out and I will not be getting one on friday?!?!?!?!?!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

But I have an order number.
 
Just spoke to O2 on the phone, I told them my order was placed before my friends and their order was shown as complete but mine was still "In Progress". She said that if I ordered on Monday and it shows as being processed by any description, ie "In Progress" or "Complete" etc it will defo be delivered tomorrow between 8.00am and 9.00pm.

Not sure how true this is but she seemed pretty confident that if you ordered then it will be with you tomorrow.

Juuuust got a shipping number, ordered a 16gb 35month at 8.10am, was getting as frustrated as everyone else, hopped in the shower and lo and behold when i check my account on my macbook there it all is!
 
Even though my order is now showing as complete, I still find myself checking the page out of habit. Now I can enjoy the cricket without worrying about my iPhone. :)

See I've just called up and heard the opposite about my order (which is in the same state as yours) - she said 'they're completely out of stock now'.

Although I'm inclined to think if we've got an order number we'll be ok. She did say if it didn't go to completed by the end of today I can just pop to a store and upgrade anyway.
 
I've got it!!!!!!

I received an email a few minutes ago with my tracking number and the status is now complete.

new contract 16GB ordered about 8:30

I can't check email right now as .mac is down for the tranisition to MobileMe and I am in work.:rolleyes:

[EDIT] I got the despatch email. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I set Mail.app in work to access .mac email. :p

But it says they've allocated me a new mobile number.:eek: I'm a current O2 customer and have been for the last 4 years:confused::rolleyes: Will I be able to keep mu current number when I hook it up to iTunes?
 
Finally received my shipping confirmation and DHL tracking number at 10:46 this morning. I was one of the "failover" orders, too - so there's hope for us all yet!
 
After endless refreshes of my order page, finally it's showing complete with consignment number etc. :) I was beginning to think it would never happen.

I think anyone who is stuck at 'in progress' will prob get sorted by the end of the day. I hope so anyway. I can maybe get on with my work now!
 
I ahve the email confirming the order with an order number and a DHL tracking number which if you go to thier site says its location is O2 customer (as I've said above...) I even have my first bill and a new number...BUT... the My Orders page still says I currently have no orders, is this because I am a new customer or do I have a problem here?

Nah I'm still waiting as well!

I've phoned o2 a few times this morning - some said I wouldn't get it, others said I would. They really have no clue!

We'll all know by around 4pm they said.

Nope, mine is still "In Progress", though as I finally managed to get the "Failover" page to accept my upgrade order at about 2pm (I went to bed rather late), then got nothing until yesterday around 4pm when a couple of emails landed in my Inbox and had a 16Gb iPhone show up in My Orders, I'd be lying if I said I was confident.

Customer services tell me that if you've got an order number, you'll be getting an iPhone tomorrow, though since everyone seems to be getting a different answer from them, I think I'm probably right to take that with a rather large pinch of salt.

No emails. Listed as ordered yesterday (actually ordered 2:30pm Monday).

Consignment number. Dispatched. I'll be waiting by the door.
 
Use the consignment number on MY O2 on the DHL tracking site. It's actually what DHL call the package ident code though, so use the correct query page.
