Wear double cuffs with cufflinks if you think it’s going to clash with the suit. Am fortunate enough to have a few nice watches, they are thicker than this ultra and hide away fine under the cuffs.
I will likely be trying a nice strap tho as that can dress almost any watch up well. https://bandwerk.co.uk/products/stockholm-vintage-gra-apple-watch-ultra
What watches do you have? This watch is thicker than almost all nice dress watches -- even most sport watches. I really do not think it will fit under a properly fitted dress shirt cuff. It is not practical for that purpose and certainly do not think it would look good. It's even thicker than a Rolex Submariner.

I did have to look it up and was surprised, but it’s Breitling, Panerai and Omega, with similar divers style watches previously from Tudor etc.

My current ones are 44/45mm face and over 15mm thick vs 14.4mm of the ultra apparently. The Breitling avenger is 16.4mm and weighs over 200g with the metal bracelet…takes some getting used to after not wearing it for a while!

Your watches are nice and I suppose if you are comfortable wearing a chunky diver's watch with a suit, then the Ultra would not be an issue. Nevertheless, I personally do not think that chunky watches are a very great look with a suit for most people -- especially in a professional environment. Dress watches are typically made much thinner with smaller dials for a reason but, certainly, if you have an 8 inch wrist, a larger watch might look just right.

Yeah, this is all subjective. I am not sure there’s much of a trend these days - fitness bands a plenty, large and sometimes complex watches. Cheap stuff too - I wear my series 4 with a suit normally and that’s not particularly unusual in my experience.

Perhaps I am oblivious to any stigma and the ultra might not look ideal with a suit (diving suit aside lol) to some, but wear it under double cuffs and I imagine barely anyone will look or care tbh

I use both my Breitling Navitimer - which is bigger then the Ultra, and my Omega Seamaster Planet - which is equally orange and the same size, with plenty of suits, light, medium-tan, dark, and black. It is a personal choise.

Saw this mentioned briefly in another thread, but if im
Spending 800$ I need this to be my every day watch.

Ok to wear with suit? I wear one almost every day at work (clinic)
Of course you can wear it with a suit. But…only you can answer the question as to whether or not it works for you. Depends largely on your view of fashion, style, etc…. I wouldn’t..but that’s me:)

If someone wants to wear a scuba flipper with a suit more power to them. Probably would not be the best option though.

I agree that people can wear whatever they want. It's an entirely different issue on whether it looks good with a suit. Huge diving watches, whether it's a Planet Ocean or a Sea Dweller, etc., are not dress watches and were not designed to be worn as such. Omega makes an Aqua Terra and Rolex makes a Datejust for those whose everyday use includes wearing with a suit often. True dress watches are even thinner.

Of course, if you happen to have a similar physique to Andre the Giant, I planet ocean might look perfect with a suit. The Ultra is too big to look good with a suit for most people.

To answer your question (and having just gotten the Ultra): if you're wearing standard button cuff shirts and using the Ocean band, the likely answer will be no or not easily (currently pulled the cuff over but you can't just slide the watch out like you're used to). If you wear French cuffs, the answer is yes. I now have to take this watch back to the store and exchange it for another Hermes one instead.

Double Cuffs and cufflinks all the way
For sure but French cuffs without a jacket is a weird look.

UPDATE: if you use a different band than the Ocean band, it will slide under a button cuff dress shirt. I used the Hermes leather and the standard silicone watch strap and it fits. Unsure of the other Apple Ultra bands though.

Pics or it didn't happen. :)

The issue will be the thickness and how well it fits underneath the shirt sleeve. I used to wear a Panerai and it was thick and did fit ok under shirt sleeves, which makes me think this will be OK too. Many dress shirts have two sets of buttons on the cuff, so you have to use the outer buttons for the Watch to fit.
Was your Panerai over 16 mm thick as some Panerai are? If yes, then wearing an Ultra should okay. It's only 14.4 mm thick.

This.

I am amazed at the number of people oblivious to fact that the appearance is a window into one’s personality and that is sending subtle messages to others. In some instances the appropriate appearance is the difference between getting the business or not, between starting a relationship with someone or not. And be aware that although people don’t care about your appearance, they will judge and form an opinion about you anyway.
100%. There are many books, websites, etc. dedicated to how to dress for success, including such details as measuring the amount of sleeve that extends beyond the suit coat, the cut of the trousers, the shape of the lapel, and much more. Fashion is a trillion-dollar industry not merely because people need clothes and accessories, but because people care greatly about what those clothes and accessories look like.

And however much people might want to deny this, most people understand it. They can tell the difference between they way James Bond wears a suit vs. the way Phil from Accounting wears a suit.

I'm not saying that someone shouldn't wear the Ultra with a suit, just that it's not unreasonable to question whether it's a good look for one's particular environment.

I find this a little crazy myself. When I were my AW to a dressy event I change the face to something professional (God forbid I say Conservative these days) and change to a Black Leather Strap. I don't consider pulling out my Breitling watch, I just step up my AW a little. The truth is if you are wearing an AW you have a nicer or more expensive watch than most. Be Proud and Professional the AW can do that!

Just got mine. 6.5 (165mm) inch wrist and using the ocean band, it does fit under my shirt sleeves.

I would guess that if the Ultra can fit under a shirt sleeve for a 6.5 inch wrist then the shirt is not properly fitted or you had the shirt made with extra roomy cuffs.
