Uneven Tint Uniformity on $1500 2016 MBP

Man I'm so friggign glad I got a beautiful 13" non touchbar to boot. I'm set for a long while.

im guessing its just the new coating. pretty much every one ive seen looks the same.

well looks like pink on the left and darker on the right as seadragon mentioned
looks like it yea. if you keep getting more laptops keep us posted. if u find one with perfect uniformity, i expect to see you in the my 'does my laptop's backlight bleed look acceptable?' thread
Well %90 of the ips panels has blb but not all of them has uniformity.Believe or not the one i sent because of scratch under speaker had a031 panel and much brigther colors and didnt have any uniformity problem,you can tell the difference day and night.This one looks more like a tn panel with washed colors and the first thing i notice is the uniformity.
Maybe i'm wrong but I see a pink tint on the left...
well you are right, I think I will send this back tomorrow and wait for the refreshed series

you can kinda see it on bottom left, really faint, but in real world use, I don't really see anything.
except uniform, bright, and pop
Im ridiculously happy with this laptop screen

Not bad. I see some gradient left to right but would consider that a great screen.
white point is more white to my eyes, and screen uniformity is more uniform than those pictures
not sure if its changed after months of use or what, but I'm really happy with my screen (these screens are REALLY hard to accurately photograph too I'm noticing trying to take a newer pic but it all looking really red across the whole screen, don't even know how I captured the older post somewhat accurately, lots of trial and error.

someone sitting next to me at the coffee shop with a (space grey) 15" has a white screen pulled up and its DINGY red, (facing me, he's sharing the webpage with someone sitting next to him)

That's exactly right! I can't believe what garbage screens some people accept, especially given the price of these things.
