Hello guys. I already got one replacement because of the rattling sound (also it had little scratch right out of the box). This one also have that sound sometimes but way softer.
So on the screen of this the second one laptop I can see the light yellow middle and the darker cold bluish/grayish white on the right side. Should I try to replace it again?

Tree test (but in life I almost can't see the red left side)

That's terrible and I would certainly replace!

That's pretty much like I had! I returned mine as it bothered me. If the replacement isn't good I'm waiting for the 2017 refresh....

Mine is almost the same pattern, maybe worse. Most noticeable when browsing MacRumors, the right side blank space always looks more blue and cold.
I got this as an open box from Best Buy with a really good price and I love everything else about this computer. Still in the return window, but just not sure if I want a replacement or refund and wait for Kaby Lake...

That's the problem I have too, replace or wait?

Just a reminder that viewing angle matters. If the issues go away when you move your head to each side, the screen is probably fine. It's really not possible to tell from most of the photos posted here if there's a problem or not.

Yeah I'm still trying to "train" myself into not noticing it as much. And there's also the urban myth about retina screen uniformity improving over time after cumulative usage (something about glue?).

Ha, I've heard about glue in regard to the keyboard, but not the screen uniformity! Wonder how that would work.

Thanks a lot guys. Though still don't know what to do, to replace or to keep it. Many of 2016 year MacBooks seem to have multiple issues.

I think many of us will show this issue, mine seems to have a pinkish color on the left side when I view the picture. I really don't notice it on normal use. Only when I bring up that damn picture. Maybe the picture is getting the best of us and it has this code to turn our screens non uniform.

Your screen looks perfect to me. I think you won the screen lottery this time. Mine has a slight pink tint on the right and blue on the left but most of the time I'm not bothered by it. I returned 2 screens that were worse before deciding to keep this one and all things considered it is a beautiful screen overall.

Yeah, it's much better than mine! Mine was obvious without the picture, but I'm sensitive to things like that and notice it more.

If my next one isn't perfect, then god is telling me to hold out until the refresh! lol

Well this was a test I did, to see what other viewers see. The picture above I Auto selected Black and White adjustment, not color, not light. And sure it looks pretty good. But why can I select black and white Auto for the entire picture and it fixes it versus just trying to fix one side. If it is uniformity then why selecting Black and White fixes it all? Is it uniformity or Black and White?

Below is Original Picture and then the picture with Auto select Black and White in Apple Photos

I think your experiment basically shows that the brightness of the screen is even, not the color temperature.

Mine was A031 and really was not perfect! It's just a lottery...

i checked the white background seemed quite consistent...main things i check is for lightbleed and this one doesnt havent any literally, it has some slight IPS glow in bottom right but that is not bad at all as i calways find it annoying in top two corners

Some screens are better than others and a few may be perfect (maybe), but the perfect screen is largely in the eye of the beholder. Some people see color tints and are bothered by them, some aren't and some don't see them at all. The goal should be to get a screen you are happy with or one you can live with. JMHO.

Hi again. Please take a look at my screen again. It still bothers me but on the new photo it seems less reddish (in compare with previous photos).

Sorry for doubling messages. I couldn't add my previous message. So the previous photo and the new one here in one post. Does it look better in your opinion?
