Yeh as I can see it is the viewing Angle that makes the warm/cold colors. for exmple when I move my head to the right side of the screen/laptop the warm left side in my attached pictures become bluish instead of warm color. So in other word I can't see the pink/red tint in the left side from every viewing angle. I think this is the way these new display are made. I think I will try to live with it for few days and see if I can adapt to it.
It reminds me quite a bit of the AR coating on the iPad Air 2 that had a big tendency to show red/pink tints at angles. It was great for cutting out light reflection, but not so great for color accuracy unless you were in the sweet spot. I noticed a big difference right away on the iPad Pro 9.7 AR's coating. Not only was it more effective at cutting reflection, it didn't suffer from the same tint issues unless you were at a very specific angle.

I'm not sure what coating Apple went with on the new MBP, but it doesn't seem quite the same as the iPad Pro 9.7. Hopefully further models will improve on this.

After few days of use it is still actually bothering me but I'm not sure replacing will be a good idea as I might get worse or one with another issue. The one I have have no problem at all except this tint thing.

I went to a computer store and opened the tree file on the new MacBooks. I found there is no perfect one. One has a warm tint in the right one on the left one down... etc

In my opinion Apple should have never used this coating with $2000 device (Mine is $3200)

Mine that I received a couple of days ago seems pristine in every department apart from a slight warmness on the right half of the screen and a slight pinkish on the left half. Pretty annoying, but not sure I want to start the return lottery either. I remember when I got the first iPad Air I ended up returning soooooo many to get a good screen as I was going to use it for study text.

What is the model of your screen? :O

I feel ridiculously lucky I got it right the first time, with a good screen

a bad screen can ruin an experience, for sure

Yes I think so... My previous ones are all A030 ALL have uneven tint uniformity. This time I got a A031 It's perfect.

Mine's A030, and it's quite uniform, no issues I can see apart from very slight backlight leakage in the very corner.

mine A030. that's mean there no one model better than other.

I'm wondering how this tree image will look on 2015/2013 MacBook Pros. it sure should look better but how better is it? Can any one with these model do the test on their 2015/2013 MacBooks please?

It's annoying, as I don't want to start returning, but it's such an expensive laptop, I should get what I pay for!

So guys, what is the consensus on my screen, worth returning?
Is the tint shift obvious? I returned mine and got a perfect screen :) A031

Looks like it's patchy with iPhone shot but looks perfect in real life

You're screens are not perfect because you have not calibrated it.
Green is way off on all of the screens but can be adjust perfectly with a calibration.
I'll post some image tomorrow (Swedish time) 12h night now.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious and will be studying and reading PDF's on it too, so will annoy the hell out of me. When you returned did you just do a return and buy another or ask for a replacement?

I returned two. One with a pink to yellow left to right tint shift. Another one have 1/3 yellow tint below the display. I gave zero tolerances and it paid off. On my third laptop I got a perfect display (IMHO). The previous are all A030. The perfect one is A031. I called and ask for a replacement because it's faster than making a new order

Im surprised they didn't give you a fuss about it

they're so cool about it. They be like "how can I help you?" "My mbp has non uniform tint" "do you want a return or a refund" (we have no Genius Bar here and only Apple online store)

One of the staffs even told me to replace because for a product that expensive, we should be satisfied in every possible way.
