Great post. In the old days, you had to call AT&T and it would take like a half hour or more and get grilled about getting it unlocked and you had to be out of contract too...

True DAT!...lol They laughed for so many years, I left AT&T and went with Verizon after 21 years
Just got fourth denial email.
Has anyone had success after four? Starting to think it's not worth my time...

I pre-ordered mine from premier too... However I used an upgrade swap on Next from another line. My line is currently NOT on contract. I wonder if that may have anything to do with this too...
thanks for this thread! I chatted with an att rep online and told her I'm selling my phone to purchase a different model but sticking with att. I asked her to unlock my phone, she asked if I was leaving att. (I'm really not)
I told her no just getting a new phone and selling this one to a non att holder. Ill be adding my new phone later today.

Awesome seemed simple enough, but no, denied immediately. Ive tried 6 times and got instant denials, just filled it out as prepaid and have not heard anything yet. I guess its better than the instant denials I've been recieving.

Successfully got my 5S unlocked after 6 or so failed attempts. The successful attempt was run as a gophone

So my 5S AT&T just unlocked will work on VZ, AT&T, and T-Mobile? but not Sprint? I would have thought by now Apple would have made one phone for everyone?
Apple introduced an unlocked version of the iPhone 6 last month that works on all four carriers. This was not the case before. The Verizon iphone 5S works on the three carriers but not Sprint.

You can try as much as you want. An att unlocked iPhone 5S will never work on Sptint or verizon.

- Your account had a recent device upgrade
- You haven't fulfilled your service contract
- Your device is currently active on another account
- This device is not eligible for an unlock at this time
- Your account has a past due or unpaid balance
- You have not completed all the payments
- The IMEI not match with the AT&T network
- Our records indicate that you have a Business account
- You haven't completed 6 months of paid
- Your account is not active for at least 60 days
- The account holder information you provided does not match our records
- Your device is no longer supported
My friend submit an old phone and got message lost/stolen but check still clear. Then submit again and get Congratulations message but without instructions
