I read on and it look like on page 51 it still works. We need to check and make sure voice mall still works though. It wont let me post a question on the site though. Has anyone had any luck still adding data this way since today? Usually how it works for me. A day late dollar short. lol

Not trying to do the loophole... just want to know how he got a 2G iPhone to activate????????? I just want my iPhone to activate... Any help? Been with over 6 AT&T CSRs for a total of 7 hrs now... BestBuy tried for about an hr, 2 trips between AT&T Store & The Apple Store at the same mall... all since Friday the 13th 2011. No one wants to cop to the problem being in iTunes... How did you get a 2G iPhone to activate????

He would have to sign up for AT&T before canceling his current service and have them port the number. This can all be done on AT&Ts website. After the number is ported he can do the loophole (assuming it still works, some people say it does, others say it doesn't). I'm not sure if you can port a number through iTunes. I ported from T-Mobile through AT&Ts website. Not sure this answers your question or not.

Can he port his number without having a phone yet? He is going to use a 2g to do the loophole. When you ported from T-Mobile through AT&Ts website, did you already have a phone or did you use the 2g and then go to iTunes to register?

When I ported I didn't know about the loophole, so I just got a iPhone 4 from AT&T. When you sign up I think you have to get a new phone from them. I didn't do the loohole untill like 2 weeks later.
Keep us posted. I am still waiting for my IP2 to get here. Sounds like I am too late. Strange how it wont even allow you to activate the phone though. To make sure I understand. You saying it wont even let activation? Guess we should have stayed with Sprint. They still have unlimited and was less
There's not much that any of us can do to help. It's sounding like the loophole is being fixed, or they may be dropping the 2g entirely.
I was a helping a colleague out and she is not even going to go over the 250MB for 15$. Simply wants to pop the ATT sim in and start using it.
It goes all the way to submit and this is after you select the 20$ + 200 SMS plan.
Hopefully it is just something wrong with Itunes. I can see they could stop the loophole but not stop us from using a I Phone 2. I went on-line to Apple but wasn't sure where to go to ask if they were dropping allowing I2 to activate. I would think that would be up to ATT to decide that. That is one of the things I dislike about a IPhone. You have to deal with them about everything. Being new to ATT not sure how they work but with Sprint I called there CS about all the issues.
I have read on another site where some people still able to get unlimited. The create new profile when activation of phone. I hope it works or as other poster I have a $88 paperweight. If the guy from ebay ever sends it, I have a feeling might have to contact ebay. If true cant activate I hope he doesn't send then I will just get refund.
3GS stolen and 2G will now not activate!

It sounds like they may be working on closing the loophole, but ofcourse my 3GS gets stolen the day they decide to cut off the 2G activations! I hope they set it back up ASAP because there is no way I am buying another iphone inside my 2 year contract for $500 bucks!!!!!!

Dumb Question I know. I know I need to create a new ITunes to activate the IP2 with new sims card. After it works and I put the sims I just used on the 2 back into my 4 do I go back into the itunes I just created or can I go into the one I have been using? Is it still transferring the data over to the I4 or do we have to call in? Thanks had it all figured out till the game changed a little. Hope it still works
I confirm. It kinda worked. I hit continue to create a new account. gave all the information incl. CC numbers. However it failed to create new account and then went to the steps. At this points I was able to hit submit and activation was completed. I am glad it work and hopefully others are helped here.

Jacob, when you put the card in the iphone4, did you get a text that you are on unlimited data? Because the 2g UL data is 20$ and reg UL data is 30$. Confirm please.
