I tried powering off and back on and vvm still isn't working for me (AT&T, 4.3.1 and 01.59.00). Not sure why it's working for you and not for me.

Uninstall ultrasn0w, reboot and then install again, reboot. Try it then and report back.

Edit: that's what I ended up doing and no issues so far

I just saw on the Dev Team blog that someone tried to "Reset All Network Settings" and after that, his MMS and VVM started working again.

Can someone try that and see what happens?

Henry

The exact process I did was:

power on
reinstall ultrasn0w

it has been working since, even after additional resprings and reboots.

Just because ppl are on AT&T doesn't mean they don't need the unlock.
I use AT&T when I'm in the US, and I prefer to use the same phone when I travel overseas. Jb and unlock allows me to keep using my own phone on an international carrier's cheaper prepaid sim, vs letting AT&T rape me with their international roaming charges.
This is EXACTLY why I unlock as well.

Tried this and still no go on vvm. Mms seems to be working but I want to test that again. I guess I can just send myself an mms to test that out, right?

I tried this on both my iPhone 4s and VVM worked again. Hopefully it continues to work.

Doing this got vvm to work for me. Haven't been able to test mms again though (for some reason I can't seem to send myself an mms). Is it just me or can you not send an mms to yourself?

Also, I have no idea if this is related or not but when someone calls you and you press the power button, isn't it supposed to automatically send the call to vm? For me, all it's doing is silencing the ringer just like pressing one of the volume buttons does. Anyone else noticing the same thing?

When call is ringing, one press of the power buttom will silence the call similar to volume buttom press. Then a second press of the power buttom will send the call to voicemail. So just press the power button twice if you want it to go straight to voicemail.

Damn, I see the old ultrasn0w problems still have not been fixed. Losing visual voicemail and MMS is a common problem with the 01.59.00 baseband. I would press 'Reset All Network Settings', reboot, etc., and the problem would temporarily go away and then reappear a few days later. I would recommend sending yourselves a voicemail at least once a day to make sure the problem hasn't returned. I was about to jailbreak my phone tonight, but seeing as how ultrasn0w is still disabling two very important features, I'll stay at 4.2.1.

Tried this, too. but no luck. Reset network settings, and VVM and MMS now work. Signal bar works fine. Only difference I can detect is in Settings, the "Carrier" option is no longer there. It was right under "Location Services."

Works great! I uninstalled the previous "fixers" and updated ultrasn0w. A quick reboot and it works great! Nice to have my signal bars back and not just one.

Ok, I just did this and at the beggining it didnt work.
It would show the carrier option under settings and MMS wouldnt send.
Then did a reset network settings and went into the settings and the "Carrier" option is no longer there. Tried sending MMS and it went thru fine and visual voicemail works fine also.
Thank you all for the input.
So it takes a little back and forth with installing ultrasnow, reboots, reinstall, reset network etc....
But again what I found out is if you see the "carrier" option listed in settings MMS wont go thru.
This is all for baseband 1.59.00 on 4.3.1 iphone 4 on AT&T.

Exact same thing for me. I wonder if the lack of the carrier option means the network reset removed the unlock?

I dont think a network reset removed ultrasnow, seems like that option was conflicting and causing issues when phone is used on official carrier.
Damn it, I just installed MyWi and I see the carrier option again:(
And tried to send MMS and guess what? No go.

It sounds like you had to restart the phone to get it working? Was that all or did you also have to reset network settings?
ETA: how many times did you have to restart your phone?
Ok, restarted iphone again and carrier option is gone now and mms went thru.
MyWi works fine also.
What a pain:D

iPhone 4, 4.3.1, BB 1.59.00

I installed and uninstalled redsn0w 1.2.1 about 8 times with all sorts of combinations restarting the phone. If redsn0w 1.2.1 is installed, I get signal bars but no visual voicemail. I have not tested MMS.

After resetting the network settings multiple times, I still see the "Carrier" option in settings. Still no voicemail.

I'll stick with no signal bars until there is fix or other work-around released.

I ended up installing CallLock after that and the carrier option showed up again after the respring and again MMS wouldnt send.
So I had to remove ultrasnow, reinstalled like 10 times, restarted like another 15, reset network settings inbetween all that and finally a few minutes ago the carrier option disapeared and mms works again:D
What a pain, I dont have to install anything else from cydia so I hope it stays working from now on.
But maybe down the road when theres an update for MyWi or anything else that might reset/trip that feature again I might have to go thru all that again.

Working perfectly on my 3GS with 5.13.04. Thanks for the hard work!

Jeez, if you're having these problems, I'm holding off on installing 4.3.1.

Lol:D I was going nuts today for over an hour bro.
I was about to say F it and leave it with 1 bar.
But it did finally go thru and I got VV and MMS working now so it does work you just gotta fight with it.
I'm just afraid of any Cydia updates might have me go thru the same all over again.

I wouldn't mind finagling it, if it was just a one time deal. However, if it's going to continue happening, then I don't need tetherme's hotspot that badly. :)
