Taking a look at the tracking spreadsheet… has anybody who ordered since October-ish actually received anything…? I see exactly two tracked orders marked as received which is… quite the showing given the timeframe… 😑

Given @gilles_polysoft's statement that
we test each kit individually for several hours on a corresponding Mac Studio

…one would hope that leaves at least a bit of downtime for, y'know, responding to email or posting a quick update on their own website, but going incommunicado again for a few months seems like par for the course I guess 🫤

My order date was November 1st, My last response from Polysoft (02/04/2026) indicates the order should have shipped, and been received...

I reached out on on the Feb 21st, and 28th to inquire about shipping information, and just for a general reassessment of the shipping expectation, but no replies yet.

My order to date remains:

It's been 122 days since I placed my order, thats 4 months 2 days and counting... I must be pushing their average 🤷‍♂️

Hello,

I placed an order on October 27, 2025. On November 18, 2025, I sent them a message for information. I received a reply on December 18, 2025, offering me either a refund or to wait until mid-January 2026. I chose to wait. On January 25, 2026, I contacted them again because there was still no delivery.

I received a reply on February 4, 2026, informing me that the package would be shipped the following week and would arrive before February 17 or 18, 2026. And guess what? I haven't received anything.

They've been stringing me along for months. And since then, nothing. I've contacted the Signal Conso website in France to report this company's behavior. The Fraud Squad has been automatically notified (some people here have also taken this step, so when they see a new complaint about this same company, they might pay them a visit).

I've informed the company of my actions. The next step will be filing a formal complaint. They still have a window of opportunity to deliver my order. Gilles, if you happen to see this message, please make sure my order is shipped.

Shockingly similar experience to mine...

The next message about it arriving the week of Feb 16-17th... in my last post 🤯

I have the same message my friend.

Don't spread misinformation.

We have several product lines, and we haven't prioritized any previous orders for identical products.

I admit that due to staff absences, we're having trouble communicating.

Since you've already filed a complaint, I'm refunding your order rather than delivering it. I don't want to take any risks; there have already been several dishonest customers who didn't cancel their complaints despite receiving their deliveries, who then got refunds and have since disappeared (I have three such cases in the US, one in Poland, and one in Austria; it's cost me several thousand euros).

You will be refunded and can order from China: it will be delivered faster (although the downside is that the price is around €1500).

Sincerely,

Gilles

That's his answer.

Hello,

Could you please provide the link you used to purchase your SSDs from China? If you can't share it on the forum, could you send it to me via private message? Thank you all.

As for me, after filing a complaint, Gilles updated my order page to show "refunded." I will let you know when the funds are in my account.

Good luck to everyone.

Only reason why I'm not doing this upgrade is because I fear a year or so down the line an Apple update will render the upgrade unusable!......
I wouldnt put it past Apple!

I think your fear is misfounded. If you’d read through the thread you’d see that the replacement boards are basically/functionally electrically identical to Apple’s own boards, and Apple is already “in charge” in that only specific models/capacities of raw flash chips can be used per-Mac Studio model in order to be recognized and accepted for flashing/writing during the DFU restore process.

If Apple wanted to “render the upgrade unusable” they would need to blacklist NAND chips that their own OEM boards use, which would be… quite the route to take considering the impact that would have on the (majority of) Mac Studio buyers who bought a stock config and never intend to —or even think about— replacing internal storage modules!

In contrast, a much better, and informative response. Thank you.

Thanks for pointing this out. It's certainly… interesting…

Compare this to their December 18 update:
1773178899641.png

In that update they had 239 pre-orders in their "next deliveries" wave, being “shipped at a rate of approximately 15 orders per day” with 84 already delivered —they also mention 96 reimbursed, so if those are to be subtracted from the 239 total pre-order count that would mean there were 59 orders still unfulfilled. I'm guessing the 96 reimbursed shouldn't be counted in the total though, which would have left them with 155 orders still to ship.

But now in the March 2 update the first, second, and third batches are reported as fully complete, and for the “next deliveries” timeframe (where we’re all presumably stuck 😜) “a total of 424 kits have already been delivered” —which certainly sounds decent but I have no idea how to square those numbers with the December update…

Based on the total ship count it would seem they've taken on at least 185 (new) orders from December’s reported pre-order number, but if we remove the 84 that were already delivered as of the Dec update, that leaves us with 340 deliveries done since the December update.

Incidentally, there were 51 official working days in France between December 18 2025 and March 2 2026 —but let’s say grant some extra Christmas vacation time with no kits worked on/shipped between December 23rd to Jan 4th, leaving ~41 working days since then.

In that timeframe they’d appear to be averaging maybe 6 to 8-ish kits sent per day…? At the December 15/day estimate they could have potentially shipped all 424 orders in ~28 working days (which would have also cleared the backlog reported in the December update —239 orders, 84 already shipped— in ~10 working days), but that doesn't seem to be happening.

All that said, I think the real question is how many orders actually remain outstanding rather than how many have been delivered total, since that’s the only way to back-solve to any kind of "when you might get it" timeframe. Honestly, if there was a queue system to keep everybody apprised “there are 22 orders ahead of you, approximate wait time: 14 weeks” that would probably alleviate a lot of anxiety for all involved.

Regardless, the delivery timeframes being presented on items such as the M4 8TB and the M2 8TB remain incorrect (“delay 2 months” and “delay 1 months” respectively) so if people are stumbling across their site and placing orders expecting those timeframes they’ll be a bit disappointed…
Edit: Last week the paragraph above was accurate… When I double-checked before posting today almost everything has been marked "Out of stock" and the site won't let people add them to their carts (except M1 2TB & 4TB which have "Out of stock - preorder" status) so at least there are signs of activity, and better than taking on further orders with inaccurate fulfilment timelines.

@gilles_polysoft

I am forced to post this here publicly because my private emails to your company are being completely ignored.

I placed an order for a Mac Studio SSD upgrade on your website back in late January and paid nearly $400 via Stripe. While I read the notice on your website about production delays and staff illness—and I was initially willing to be patient—the complete lack of customer service is totally unacceptable.

I have sent 4 separate emails over the past month inquiring about my order status, and I have received absolutely ZERO response. Furthermore, my account dashboard is a mess; it shows "Payment accepted" in one section, but "On backorder (not paid)" in another. When a customer spends this amount of money, the bare minimum you can do is reply to their emails and clarify if their money is safe.

Ignoring paying customers is a terrible business practice. If I don't receive a clear update regarding my order immediately, I will be forced to file a chargeback dispute with Stripe and my bank for non-receipt of goods and unresponsiveness.

I expect a prompt reply.

Kit ordered on Feb 3rd.

Dear François, (Raoul is a nickname)
We apologize, but your 8TB kit for Mac Studio M1 has still not been shipped and will take approximately two more weeks.
The prolonged absence of one of our team members due to illness has slowed us down considerably, and it has taken me months to test and program our inventory.
We appreciate your patience.
The price increases of recent months have had a significant impact on us, and it has been very difficult for us to deliver to you at the original price.
The kit we are going to deliver to you currently sells for around $1,500 on the market.
Best regards,
Gilles

Well, quite nice to get any response at all, let alone a potential ship timeline, for an order that’s less than two months old… I’ve sent two polite messages regarding my order, the first after one month, and then again after two months wait, and in two weeks I fully expect to send another request for info/follow-up/possible shipping date/etc. into the black hole that is their Contact Us form.

However, “it has been very difficult for us to deliver to you at the original price.” sounds nice and ominous; to me that reads as “oops, since we never adjusted our store when flash prices started to rise, nor did we fully stop taking new orders, we now have a lot of pending orders at prices that are unsustainable”
And who knows if they actually have enough purchased/sourced NAND already on-hand to fulfill their order backlog…

My guess is that is the only thing that finally spurred them to update most of their store items to “out of stock” and unpurchasable over the last week or so. 😬

Finally got a response, this is absolutely Ludacris. If this were in the United States, he would be under investigation for fraud.

Random Q @E94 : What's the URL to the Messages page in your screenshot? I don't seem to have that in my Polysoft account unless it's https://shop.polysoft.fr/en/module/ps_emailalerts/account —but that doesn't show my past messages that I sent through their contact form, which I can only retrieve from the GDPR page

Edit: found my (unanswered) messages at the bottom of the Order Details page, so at least I know I’m not apparently missing any replies!

I'm very glad to have received my refund today. If they refuse to deliver at the purchase price, claiming that prices have changed, it's pure and simple fraud. That might be the real reason for all these delays. Good luck to everyone.

Well well, I put out an order over a month ago accepting a two month delay but am now am second guessing myself… no response to my messages. No update or ETA. I requested to cancel. Let’s see how this goes.

I wonder in which market he sees the kits selling for $1500… I got mine on the way for a couple of dollars more than his and that’s only because aliexpress charges me my local state sales tax.
