UPS - Hold for Pickup

Is anyone else with tracking that hasn't updated show RIALTO, CA?

Same here, but mine wasn't moving for several hours before I requested the change too. Mine has said "Package is in transit to a UPS facility" in Harrisburg Pennsylvania since 2 AM this morning. I don't think updates are happening right now for whatever reason. But, I have to believe that they will still arrive on time. Of all the ways that this could get screwed up, the least likely it is when we know they are sitting in a warehouse somewhere, and the planes are flying all night long. There should be no reason we don't get them tomorrow.

Mine has been in Harrisburg since 2am as well en route to Detroit. Hope there's no problem.
 
Just did a chat with an online rep that claimed that setting to hold for pickup before UPS has the package can cause a delay but I see no reason this would make a difference. If anything I thought it may just screw up tracking updates.

I just had this thought: They're not scanning each box one by one. That would be insane. They probably have a pallet full of boxes and there's one master barcode. That or a long piece of paper with nothing but barcodes.
Scanning my barcode would come up with an Exception to notify the Hub upon arrival to pull the box (so it doesn't go on a truck for local delivery). So, when they scan the master barcode for the pallet, it registers the Exception and won't process the Origin Scan for my package. But, since its final destination is the hub along with the rest of the boxes on the pallet, it will go there anyway. The status just won't update until it arrives.

At least, that's what I'm telling myself. :rolleyes:

I chatted with them this morning and due to the demands and higher risk of it being stolen they wouldn't allow apple watches to be pre-signed unless it was with a ups door tag.

I was going to have mine held at the local UPS hub for pick up but it changed my delivery date from tomorrow to "by 4/27" so I'll just wait for it to be delivered to my house lol. We're outside of a major city so things just take a little bit longer to get out this way which is why I'd be nervous that it might not be there for pick up by tomorrow morning.
 
Mine shows that I choose pickup before "order processed: ready for UPS". How is that even possible, ha!

So it looks like UPS has canceled my Hold for pickup I had scheduled and I don't have a link to the signature release for. This is a bit annoying at the last minute.

Can anyone link to a signature release form? Not sure if that's even possible but I'm grasping at straws here.

It looks like mine may have also been cancelled.

Don't see that option showing up anymore and received another delivery notice from UPS.

I am going to drive over there this morning nonetheless.


EDIT: Never mind. It is still being held. You need to sign out and sign back into MY UPS and then click on CHANGE DELIVERY to see that it is actually still being held for pickup.

Mine finally moved from Rialto to Ontario :D but it seemed to have dropped my pick up request like you guys so I submitted it again. It notes it will be available for pickup tomorrow but I hope I'm not pushing it. Wondered if will drop the request again on the next update?

Praying that my pending pickup request means it's there, I'm heading to Harrisburg in a few minutes... Anyone want me to pick anything up? Haha
