The real question here.. why don't we get that weird but kinda cool jelly filling wallpaper in Settings?

The wait is unbearable. I already fired off an email to tcook@apple.com I get delays happen. But UPS is not operating normally or at efficiency. For scheduled delivery dates to be changed now twice an explanation would be useful.
me too :) I pretty much wrote that delays are okay but if UPS can't get their job done, they shouldn't be exclusive. At least utilize a few other shipping vendors so that 1, it reduces the workload for UPS and 2, creates a much more intense compitition for UPS to stay on top of their game.

Pretty sure this has been documented before and is more to do with time zones and changes than actual movement. Correct me if I'm wrong but seems to happen sometimes each year.

I hope you're right. My delivery date was pushed back 1 day, then pushed out to "information is unavailable". Hopefully it shows up tomorrow as it was originally planned.

An increasing number of customers who ordered the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus have noticed irregular movement on their shipments, as confirmed by multiple tipsters who have contacted us. The peculiar UPS tracking information has also been documented by several Twitter and Reddit users.

iPhone-7-UPS-tracking.jpg

MacRumors reader Daniel G., for example, has seemingly seen his iPhone 7 Plus order move between Shanghai, China and Anchorage, Alaska, only to end up back in China. The shipment even made a brief stop in Osaka, Japan, before heading to Louisville, Kentucky en route to Long Island City in Queens.Other MacRumors readers said likewise in discussion topics titled "My iPhone is on a travel adventure" and "Waiting for UPS."

Reddit user AlphaAnger, too, shared a nearly identical scenario:Twitter user Minton, who shared the UPS tracking information pictured above, has seen his iPhone order travel from Zhengzhou, China to Incheon, South Korea to Louisville, Kentucky, at which point it was seemingly sent back to Hong Kong. The entire movement took place within a span of just three days.
Minton is not alone, as several Twitter users have noticed similarly irregular movement on their iPhone orders this week.
In some cases, shipments have moved between the U.S. and Asia in only a few hours, which is unrealistic even when accounting for time zone differences. UPS has allegedly told some customers the irregular movement is related to paperwork, but weather and mechanical issues could also be involved.

Whatever the underlying reason may be, the issue appears to be slowing down iPhone deliveries for at least some customers in the United States. Some customers on Twitter have complained that their new iPhone is "stuck in Korea," while others have vented their frustrations towards UPS's customer service account.

Mine has been supposedly stuck in Incheon Korea. Mines says delivery reschedules package shipped but won't give me a new date. Been stuck this way since early yesterday. Only a half hour from the end of today delivery window.

Yep. I'm seeing the same thing. Was originally scheduled for delivery yesterday. Now it's stuck in Incheon since 8:01 yesterday like the rest of you. I'm guessing the shipment is lost.

I have two shipments for an iPhone and the watch. Both of them have been delayed, and the reason presented is a severe weather delay. The phone is stuck in Korea, and the watch is still in China. I looked at a weather map of the area, and it does look pretty nasty over there.

I just got an update saying my 7+ is delayed due to "severe weather". UPS originally said it would be delivered yesterday, then today, now unknown.
When it shipped, Apple gave me a Friday delivery estimate but I'm losing hope in getting it by tomorrow

I had two shipments too, two iPhones. One started delivery a day ahead of the JB one and actually came yesterday. However the JB one is still in Korea. When was your phones suppose to deliver? I'm wondering if we're in the same shipment.

EDIT: Damn it just updated and told me that it was delayed due to weather as well. It seems like the odds are against us fellas. Mechanical failures and inclement weather lol.

Yeah 59F and fair skies, that's "severe". :) Seriously I can't even find a rain radar for that area, just clouds.

Mine says the EXACT same thing. I could screenshot my UPS tracking screen and it would like exactly like yours here.

it might be severe weather in the destination, usually Anchorage. I see there have been wind gusts up to 100mph in the past days.

UPS.

The reason I'll never preorder another Apple device again.

At some point other companies (like Amazon) have to get wise that using them is alienating customers and hurting their business.

Same thing happened to me, just got word from UPS that the reason shipments have been paused is due to severe weather conditions. Seems to be a large weather system spanning across Japan.

First of all, there's no typhoon around S. Korea or Japan.

Second, the weather system by Japan is not severe enough to delay flights. Just look at NRT airport. No delays.

Something weird going on here. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, as many of us here have delivery dates of Sept. 23rd.

Ahh.. Thanks. That's awful. I vaguely remember hearing about a typhoon. :(

According to wikipedia, that typhoon dissipated on August 31st. Though I also see severe weather delay.

"Typhoon Malakas has hit southern Japan, bringing damaging winds and flooding rain.

Malakas made landfall on the island of Kyushu around 1400GMT on Monday. It struck as the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane on the five point Saffir-Simpson scale. Sustained winds of up to 185 kilometres an hour were reported."
